Today on Sekulow, we discussed the news that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is suing the state of Georgia over their new voter integrity law. The DOJ is arguing against this new law, stating that requiring Voter ID is disproportionally unfair to minorities. According to Professor Harry Hutchison, the DOJ has taken the position that this law is racist without honestly, fairly, and thoroughly reviewing it. In reality, the DOJ’s belief that minorities need assistance to navigate the voting process is racist as it infantilizes minority groups by implying they don’t have the knowledge or tools to practice the fundamental right of voting themselves.
