Will America Remain A Civilized Nation?

I recently returned from a visit to my birth state and the two states immediately to the north. As a California native, I was hugely disappointed to see large portions of California, Oregon and Washington exhibiting marginal forms of civilization. The Left Coast has allowed the level of civilization to deteriorate to that of a third world nation. Like most of you, I have seen a bit of what is going on in San Francisco, Portland, and Seattle. Seeing it on television and seeing it in person is dramatically different. Video bites just don’t demonstrate the level of degradation that real life does. I served in Vietnam, a real third world country, for about 24 months. Even in their poverty, the Vietnamese people would not live in such filth as I saw in California, Oregon and Washington state. America, we have a problem!
