10 Things The RNC Can Do To Keep From Imploding

I’ve been saying this since 2004. I am very aware that many of the now 90 Million gun owners in America do not really identify with the Republicans, but here is something all of America needs to look at. As a major party, the Republicans have by weakness betrayed an important trust, and as a party, all are about to implode for just that. How can there be any association of patriotism when so many certainly had their chance all along to speak up? Without being at all uncivil, identifying the problem is very useful in rebuilding the party more than anything else is useful. Let’s begin here.

The Republicans somehow believe that etiquette as ladies and gentlemen must prevail, that civility and the high road must be their hallmark, but for us who sent them to Washington to be partisan, they have let the liberals steal their milk money and eat their lunch. The truths Conservatives enunciate are true enough as our values, but they have not really connected for lack of specificity and action. Generalities in self-limiting rhetoric has made them really stand for nothing while tolerating everything destructive to the nation as part of taking that high road. For instance, they believe in the Second Amendment, but really haven't a clue as to what guns in America are really all about. Some of our most successful pundits don't have a clue as to the functional societal role the armed citizen is in this country. To those pundits, he and she are to be regulated, which reflects their poor grasp of the right as a safeguard under our system. This is at the core of the problem: talk of sovereignty, but without understanding.  Let’s start here.

 1. Housecleaning. Get the old guard out, new candidates in. Get rid of the old guard and now by way of recall and other provided due process. Draft new candidates for those openings.

 2. Palin as head of RNC. Just do it. Trust me. (Two years ago, I suggested Newt Gingrich.) People are scared of Governor Palin because she has values and stickwithitness. Values and the guts to enunciate them and follow-up is what has been lacking. Make her head of the RNC and follow her lead. Can-do? Either Sarah or Newt. Maybe both?

 3. Lady Liberty is Partisan. Don't ever forget this. Those who love liberty do not walk different paths. The Conservatives need to understand that the Liberals have never bargained in good faith as if they seek the same goals through a different method: they have simply been unpatriotic, self-dealing and brokering bigger and bigger government, with a great deal of help from Republicans, I might add, and it's time that Americans understood that being faithful to America is only one-sided. It's time to realize we've been had by presuming that liberals care. Independence is the true caring and respecting of one another. As I say often, nothing puts the dignity in personal dignity like the self in self-rule. That means Independence from Government. A lot more Independence.  This isn’t going to come from reaching across the aisle.

 4. The Second Amendment is absolute. Put simply, it is the lethal force which backs citizen authority, and it's high time we remember that constituents are the supreme authority of the nation, that we by law have the monopoly on force. As a core value, we do not obtain permission from officials, it is they who obtain permission from us, or not. Repeal all gun laws which criminalize ownership details, type of weapon, who may carry and where. Make Crime against the law instead of making law and the armed supreme authority a criminal. It erases U.S. History and Authority. It is a trap, and with more and more regulation on the horizon. The repeal of all gun laws will change the entire complexion of how our servants will handle crime and it will also change how they handle our revenues. Do it.

 5. Find, draft and reward Integrity. No more scandals, be intolerant of corruption. Get involved in your district and nominate the right person for the right office. Every Conservative and LIbertarian should be getting involved in supervising government, or we will be supervised by government. Replace the self-dealing corrupt with the younger, more energetic, more honest men and women of integrity. It gets easier when you are involved. Retire the old horses, put them out to pasture and consult them when needed.  They may advise differently from how they acted.

 6. State conservative positions boldly and stand behind them. Live them. The problem has been that Conservatives themselves have been unclear on what our values really are, and have been sufficiently intimidated by loud liberals. To begin with, Personal Independence from government and authority over government must prevail as our core beliefs. It must be more than a quaint concept, it must be respected in law and standard procedure for this generation and for every generation to come. Get away from utter dependency on Government and think personal Independence from Government.

 7. Heads have to roll in the banking scandal, both in Business and in Official Office as a looting of the nation. Individuals who caved to political pressure might as well have sold out their mother, and officials who extorted them for pandering must be removed from office and go to jail, if possible. The problem at present is that there are no consequences for bad faith, for corruption, insanity or dishonor, not to mention violating oath of office. Outrage and daring must not be the language of officials any longer; they must also understand justice and authority, the will of the sovereign and with praise or consequences swift and certain. They must be reminded by jail terms as an example that they are servants and nothing more. The country needs to know the word Justice once again, and the Conservatives haven't shown any interest in curing this Potomac Fever. If the Republicans are to survive as a party, they must find the cure, eradicate the disease, and never tolerate its growth conditions again. They must stand for this eradication always.

 8. Cut taxes for everyone. It will give us more power and leverage over officials and of adverse situations as well as more revenues to get important work done. Not enough money has to become a most clear expression of the will of the people, and income tax and general taxes cannot be weaponized ever again. A flat tax might be the place to start.

 9. Kill the Fairness Doctrine as Vigilante. Yes, Vigilante. Vigilantes committed atrocities for the purpose of silencing political views, specifically anti-slavery views. The Fairness Doctrine is a high-tech harkening back to that Vigilanteism and silencing constituents in arriving at how they will vote and other self-rule constructs. Any move on frustrating the voice of talkradio is an obvious restraint of the goodness and the desires of the people, which can easily be anticipated by liberals (and which has provoked them to act).  It is unreasonable to take any steps whatsoever to discourage, punish or regulate this medium and is a complete giveaway as to real political intentions.

 10. Cancel all plans for a National ID Card. Make it simply illegal as incompatible with liberty and our way of life. Because we say so.

The Conservatives need to find their backbones and state their positions as welcomed by Americans. America has been waiting.

More to come. Ten more things.
