My Own American Heartbreak

My Own American HeartbreakFor many, myself included, the American Dream became nightmarish since last year's entry into pandemic policy repercussions. Last year's national First Shutdown, subsequent city, county and state shutdowns, in addition to other restrictions, leave millions wondering how will they maintain an increasingly tenuous grip on solvency... and sanity. Unpaid bills raining down on heads from coast to coast hit harder than punches from an MMA champion.

I do care about all these folks suffering through no fault of their own

The sight of our countrymen suffering through no fault of their own breaks my American heart because well fed and housed politicians decisions put them in this situation and intentionally drag their feet on legislating solutions. As for me, my life effectively ended last year when liberals at my old job used the pandemic to fire me during the worst economic crisis in American history. "Cancelled," as it were. Conservatives are quite familiar with this progressive power play. I don't care whether I bounce back or not. I do care about all these folks suffering through no fault of their own. Their tears are my own American Heartbreak.
