Extend the Miracle or Surrender to Darkness

We live in the most extraordinary political era any of us is likely to ever see

We live in the most extraordinary political era any of us is likely to ever see.

Against a dark background many decades in the making a figure new to electoral politics emerged in 2015 to launch an unlikely run for the presidency. He was widely admired and liked across the political spectrum in spite of, or perhaps because of his large fortune and maverick business dealings in the city of New York.

Energized America-First Presidency

Always a phenomenon, he has never fit the pattern of the career politician who carefully calculates every move before making it, constantly testing the political winds. He’s a political figure who speaks his mind on every subject. Those who don’t like what he says and does are free to support someone else. Those of us who love what he stands for can’t get enough of his energized America-First Presidency. He’s an outsider working inside for we, the people, every day. We love him for it, every day.

He stunned the political world when he defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016. She and her followers fed their fury against him by attacking and prosecuting him incessantly for four years. When the 2020 election went against him by an electoral miracle we hope to never see repeated again, he fought off renewed prosecution and persecution for the next for years, campaigning every day to win back the second term of his presidency. He stunned the political world again when he defeated Kamala Harris for the presidency in 2024.

For his second term he hit the ground running with a clear vision of what needed to be done. There were a great many things that needed to be done, and he began doing all of them. No president in the history of the republic has taken on so many grave issues with so much at stake. Half way through his second term he has performed so many miracles that we must do quick research to even list the major ones. He began by closing the border and sealing it. It has been closed and sealed ever since. It’s going to stay closed and sealed so long as he is president. He has made astounding progress finding and deporting the millions of illegals who were waved across the border during the previous administrations. He has rebuilt our military forces yet again and has made admirable progress in identifying and dealing with the considerable weight of the Deep State in all its nefarious forms.

Restored American energy dominance

He launched DOGE and began the astonishing revelations that have allowed us how the republic had been undermined and weakened over many decades with deeply hidden budget tricks that were funding the ruin of our country and the promotion of leftist political and economic efforts here and around the world, all of them using oceans of taxpayer money.

He restored American energy dominance almost overnight by yanking funding for solar panels and voiding regulations and requirements that had the mighty automakers building millions of vehicles nobody wanted.

Using tariffs and trade policy in ways that can only be called genius, he has transformed the economic decline of the United States, much desired by the left, into an astonishing boom. Many trillions of dollars of investments have already flowed into business and trade infrastructure and jobs here at home, and many more trillions are on the way. Only a dozen years ago a former president told us that our manufacturing and trade dominance days were over and that we would just have to be satisfied with a toothless economy and limp-wristed trade policy that must benefit our betters overseas. That same president apologized to the world for all the bad things we had done over the years, and he was happy to do so. Trump has changed all that and changed it for the better.

Then he observed that the source of many of the world’s troubles and wars and woes could be laid at the feet of an Iranian regime that had waged war against us for 47 years and which was directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of our troops. Iran had funded and trained and supplied proxy forces across the Middle East and around the world.

Just two years into an entirely new political world

With a growing capacity for new age drone and missile warfare, Iran had emerged as a leading sponsor of terror, but also as a menace to world trade and prosperity, and even Western Civilization itself. He took action and halted their many projects for promoting violence and death across the world. There are many more crowning achievements just two years into his second term.

Now we come to the midpoint of the second term, but in reality it is just two years into an entirely new political world. The naysayers are moaning and gnashing their teeth. The cost of living is unbearable, so they want the electorate to put the party that sent the cost of living through the stratosphere back in power so they can make it alright.

They have repudiated nothing they did. They don’t regret the open border for four long years. They want us back to a “green new deal” that will sap our energy prowess on the world state and put the economy back into its former palsied condition.

They call Iran the good guys and Israel the bad guys and blame the tensions in the Middle East on American aggression and American meddling. They harp endlessly about an Israeli genocide in Gaza but can’t convince anyone that they are half so serious about the massacres and the hostage taking that shocked the world.

They want their power and their outrageous fraud back with all its billions in taxpayer dollars funding their sick projects. They want to redraft the Constitution and shift a few things around like the Senate, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court. Then everything will be fine. Only those few things, then all will be right again.

The legacy media, of course, is in full chorus in support of their Democrat pals, echoing their outrage and their hurt at being told they were destroying the country. “Moderate” Democrats are fine, we’re told, but it was those same Democrats who did the wrecking and the eroding of American power from 2021-2025. Sure. Why not put them back in so we can make things right by going back to the glory days of the third Obama term? Everything was going just about right back then, they say. They also said there was nothing to report at the border and that Biden was really sharp and engaged in being President. Is there anyone who doesn’t remember those terrible years?

At long last the final day of voting arrives today, November 3. It seems a clear choice. We can march to the polls and vote to renew and extend the Trump miracle for two more years and set the country up to rocket into a sound and prosperous post-Trump era beginning in 2029, or we can shrug and stay home and whine that we didn’t get everything we wanted each day of the last two years. The results, whenever they may be finalized, will tell us much about ourselves and will tell everyone whether we are worthy of the vision of the founders.
