For the third straight year, President Obama insulted the memory of as many as 1.5 million Christian Armenians slaughtered by Turkish Muslims between 1914 and 1918. Breaking a campaign pledge, he still refuses to call their massacre at the hands of Turkish Muslims by its true name – genocide.

Even more shockingly, Obama used the statement he issued last Saturday on Armenian Remembrance Day to reference
the dark chapters in our own history
Just two days later, on April 25th, the White House issued a read-out on President Obama’s telephone call with Turkey’s Islamist prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It lauded the cooperation between Turkey and the United States in Libya and the Middle East but said not a word about the Armenian massacre for which Erdogan refuses to apologize. Islamist Erdogan has the audacity to coddle Hamas and lecture Israel, which has shown great restraint in the face of repeated provocations including hundreds of terrorist rocket attacks aimed at Israeli civilians, while he himself refuses to apologize for the Turkish Islamists’ Armenian genocide. Back in 2008, for example, Erdogan said:
I find it unreasonable to apologise when there is no reason.
In 2010, Erdogan threatened Armenians living in Turkey with deportation, triggering memories of forced deportation of Armenians between 1914 and 1918 that Henry Morgenthau, Sr., the American ambassador to the Ottoman Empire during the First World War, described as a
death warrant to a whole race
On his return to the United States having served for thirty years as United States Consul and Consul General in the Near East, George Horton wrote his own account of “the Systematic Extermination of Christian Populations by Mohammedans.” While Obama continues to play up his outreach to the Muslim world, accommodate their demands and provide cover for Islamist self-righteousness, crimes against humanity and deceit (taqiyya), he has a habit of putting his own country down. That is why this President felt compelled to refer to America’s mistakes of the past, which we have acknowledged and worked hard to correct, in the same proclamation that is supposed to remember the 1.5 million massacred Christian Armenians. Sadly, this is just another chapter in the sorry record of sucking up to Islamists by the Obama administration.
