Redistributing misery... uh, creating "A Just Society"

Redistributing misery... uh, creating A Just SocietyFrom the Green New Deal meant to battle the nonexistent enemy of Climate Change, wild-eyed Dems have expanded their target to include the ever-popular gripe of income inequality. Repackaged as "A Just Society: The Uplift Our Workers Act," non-representative Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the face for a bill that institutionalizes government control over employers and labor. Unions become passé as far as the socialist wing of the democrat party is concerned as this giddy sounding legislation undermines worker-driven contract negotiations (corruption notwithstanding) and delivers it into the hands of an "executive agency."

But what is a "just" society? And from where was the term bootlegged?

This poorly written bill is a scheme to give unaccountable bureaucrats the ability to draw up a scorecard for employers that determines whether they are treating their employees with fairness. No surprise that the source of evaluative guidelines is no other than the United Nations Human Rights Commission, which body's membership includes the most egregious abusers of their own people. Of course, the verbiage states it only covers federal contractors, but it should be noted that virtually all commerce can be and eventually will be tied to government contracts through a variety of regulatory agencies: "To require a score of worker-friendliness of each employer before entering into a Federal contract, to establish a contracting preference for such score, and for other purposes. ..." (emphasis added) But what is a "just" society? And from where was the term bootlegged? There have been a variety of personalities that have invoked the phrase over decades but it appears the concept may go all the way back to Plato himself and the wording "just city." It's doubtful that AOC or any of her associates are philosophy majors despite their vehement propounding of socialist ideology, which they absurdly interpret as brilliance. From the non-expert appraisal made here and without diving deep into theoretical mania, Plato's Republic reflects some agreement with their totalitarian tendencies.

Democrats and global socialists, represented by the virulent anger spouted by little Greta Thunberg are focused on redistributing wealth

Attempting to co-opt "just" for a thoroughly unjust social model is what socialists do best. By insisting they're entitled to rule due to superior knowledge of what is good and advantageous for the rest of the populace (like the "guardians" of the just city), they claim they must decree how and what workers will earn. Here's where the current crop of "philosopher kings," or in this instance "queens," don't measure up. The just city relies on guardians who lack self-interest and would divest themselves of personal property in order to serve the greater good. Nowhere on Capitol Hill have Democrats, or many Republicans for that matter, been found who would give up their personal fortunes in favor of their constituents keeping theirs. Quite the opposite. But the Democrat (socialist) unearned claim to fame is that they work to benefit the little people with whom they no longer identify. Instead of endeavoring to make lives better for citizens by helping them build a rich life, today's Democrats and global socialists, represented by the virulent anger spouted by little Greta Thunberg at the UNGA recently, are focused on redistributing wealth. However, wealth as it is used here can easily be substituted by the word misery for that is what the climate change and so-called worker advocates are interested in accomplishing... but not for themselves. In this respect they completely fail the task of instituting a "just society."

Fascism of sharia and socialism have a lot in common

The major problem with their premise for overseeing workers' wages, employment environments and opportunities is that they believe the earth's treasures to be finite and, of necessity, should be distributed according to their "score" system that this overreaching bill would enact. A misery index was created during Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency that accentuated the gloom of economic downturns, the kind of rhetoric at which Obama later excelled. Democrats haven't given up on forcing misery down the throats of Americans. At the top of their to-do list is to make certain everyone suffers equally--workers and employers. Putting the idea of a "just society" into context further, it should be noted that the terminology has been invoked by individuals ranging from former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau to this Muslim woman in Britain. Incredibly, Sultanah Parvin, of Hizb ut Tahir, which seeks the establishment of a single Islamic state, used the phrase in this way: "We want a just society, which exhibits a true form of justice and sanctity for human life unlike the western governments have shown. We believe the Islamic Sharia in its true form can and will provide this." Looks like the fascism of sharia and socialism have a lot in common--they both rely on the subservience of the general populace to a ruling class that is "happy" to impose its will. (Happy is in quotes as having been used in the Republic as what the philosopher guardians would feel by magnanimously wielding their authority.)

Democrats are determined to share the hopelessness of a grim future with financial lack and dream-destroying misery

The GND and Just Society bills are attempts to convince Americans that life is miserably doomed but Democrats can fix it. Democrats are panicked because President Trump's success at re-invigorating America's economy is the real threat to their collectivist plan. So much so that they are throwing together these half-baked bills. Singlehandedly, he is gutting their mantra that America could never recover from the manipulated crash of 2008-09. Democrats are determined to share the hopelessness of a grim future with financial lack and dream-destroying misery (á lá Thunberg) while conservatives share the vision of prosperity. Since government can only steal from individuals to cause collective deprivation, private business through charity and the Church does what Proverbs 3:27-28 encourages: "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee." Government? Not so much. The concept of a just city run by benevolent philosophers simply doesn't exist for the one reason Plato didn't seem to mention. Man isn't basically good at heart, much as people would like to believe. Natural cruelty is proven daily by the compassionate left throwing vicious epithets and physically attacking those who disagree. The case for foul intentions was made plainly in God's Word: Genesis 8:21--"...for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth..." Social ills can be solved but not by man's efforts. Humanity simply hasn't got the ability to do the right thing without help and that help will never come from a natural source. Modern socialists and ancient philosophers have made the same mistake of disregarding God who supplies the only workable answer.
