Every mainstream media news organization derided the Tea Party protests as laughable, even going to the point of creating a disgusting frat house joke around the name “teabagger”. Networks such as MSNBC and CBS refused to take any point of the Tea Party seriously, writing it off as if it was no more irritating than the yipping of a neighbor’s small dog. I doubt they think that now. Scott Brown handed the Democrat Nominee, Martha Coakley a million-plus vote drubbing last night. This morning every single Democrat leader is blaming everything except the actual cause of this Tea Party Massacre.
Do any of you remember the orgy of bribery Harry Reid went through to garner his 60 vote count in his attempt to get the Healthcare bill through the senate? Do you remember the massive $160 million in Medicaid dollars he offered to Nebraska’s Ben Nelson? This was so outrageous that even Rep. Nelson wanted to back out, but Reid would have none of it. The nasty bit of that deal was that it would make every other state in the union, including Harry Reid’s own state of Nevada, liable for the bills until the end of time. Reid didn’t care; he was getting his fascist feel-good fix out of the healthcare bill’s passage.
Some pundits, especially those in the 51% of Democrats who still support Obama, claim this is an aberration and that Coakley ran a terrible race. They forget that the Democrat candidate was up by double digits before Harry Reid began his machinations over healthcare. Some continue to call Brown the “dark horse”, even though he had passed Coakley in the polls days before the election. This is typical of the mainstream media.
When liberals march in Washington nearly every camera available is sent to record the event. When the Tea Party marched, all you could find was a cub reporter with a cell phone. The memory of what happened in New Jersey and Virginia to incumbent liberals was nowhere to be found in the analysis coming from the mainstream press. You have to search to find any reports that actually deal with the reality. One unnamed writer from the AP featured on this site nails what happened smack dab on the head.
It took George Bush 8 years to completely futz up the Republican Party and hand the country to the ultra left wing of the Democrats. It only took that portion of the Democrat Party 1 year to do the same to their brethren.
This is what extreme arrogance can do to you and there is no more arrogant animal in the universe than a liberal in power. An example is what Obama said about Scott Brown and Brown’s old pickup, “Scott Brown is parking his pickup on Wall Street.” It seems the President didn’t notice that truck was an old Ford F150 with over 200,000 miles on the odometer. He also forgot that his policies made him the CEO of the corporation that now owns GM. Perhaps he would have preferred it if Brown drove around Massachusetts in a Russian Skoda. The American people are all for change, as long as it fits within the American ideal, which is not socialism, it is freedom within common sense. If you are uncomfortable living in that sort of country, move; our laws allow that. Most socialist countries don't.
Obama promised transparency and then spent a year hiding the decision process on every single bill his administration was involved in. Reid and Pelosi promised even greater ethics than Clinton did and then proceeded to violate every promise made, even laughing at those who questioned them on it. Clueless, arrogant, and they remain so.
Remember that 51% I mentioned? That is from a recent national poll. You will not see much analysis on that number precisely because it is highly significant. The 51% is a Democrat number showing how many Democrats still approve of Obama's performance. That means 49% of Democrats now side with Republicans and Independents in their dislike of what Obama has done to this country. If you run the numbers using the roughly 33% for the Democrats as a political party, that gives Obama less than 20% support in the country as a whole. 2010 is not looking too good for his administration, and what happened in the most liberal state in this union is a clear prophecy of what is to come. Pelosi’s seat is now in danger as is nearly every Democrat seat coming up for election next year. Obama could be facing the prospect of having to work with a GOP controlled Congress and Senate. Will the liberal press point this out? Are you kidding?
The best thing Obama Reid and Pelosi could do where their political careers are concerned is begin dismantling every plank in their economic takeover and start giving the voters what they really want, a strong economy with jobs. That won’t happen. They still believe that they are right and the American people just don’t know what is good for them. They are going to continue believing that right up to the point where the moving crew begins packing up their offices.
