You won’t read about this anywhere else for a while yet because it just happened. Sean Hannity managed to get a recording of Patrick Kennedy melting down over the fact that the news isn’t covering the ongoing debate over Obama’s hope for takeover of the US healthcare system. In his tirade, Kennedy becomes practically incoherent over the empty seats in the press box.
The fact is, the press has already seen the writing on the wall. The Democrat party has had its run and done absolutely nothing except set a few records no politician wants credit for and they are on the way out. What candidate will willingly say they voted for the largest deficit this country has ever seen? What candidate will want to proclaim that they helped create the deepest recession this country has been in since the late 1920s? Who wants to run on a platform that has cost, rather than saved, jobs? Apparently the Kennedy family thinks the press should support that. It seems though, that not enough Dems are willing to do so today.
Nancy Pelosi, like Kennedy, is also beginning to melt down. She doesn’t have the votes to move America one step closer to her beloved socialism. She, Reid and Obama are becoming desperate. Even the threatened move toward reconciliation which would allow a one vote majority to pass the legislation currently has no teeth, especially with the rapidly approaching spring break. They know the kind of reception the voters are going to give each member of Congress when those legislators come home. Pelosi is frantically trying to round up the numbers and pushing for a vote. She even attempted to use the tactic of disclosure to get this to happen, saying, “We need this vote so they can learn what is in the bill.” Vote so you can learn what is in the bill? Isn’t that sort of like buying a used car to see if it runs?
If a cartoonist doesn’t portray Obama as a used car salesman in a loud sport coat after this revelation I will draw it up myself. This is far too good a quote to let slide by. It reveals everything that has been going on with our own homegrown axis of evil since the day after inauguration. Obama, teamed with Pelosi and Reid, the three most liberal members of our government…period, has been acting more as an emperor than a President. Consider his dressing down of the Supreme Court for having the bad grace to uphold the constitution rather than legislate from the bench. How about his several dozen broken campaign promises and the later outright lies of “hardly knowing” people like Jeremiah Wright or Bill Ayers? Drat those pesky audio records. Sure sir, she runs just like a clock. Buy her and I’ll let you take her for a spin.
The Democrat leadership is telling its members to vote for the bill, even if they don’t like it…it can be fixed later. Sure, now pull the other one, it has bells on. I don’t know about you, but my history tells me that Congress has a dismal record of fixing any of its mistakes.
Fortunately for us, enough members are finding out that if they vote yes, their constituents will vote no this November.
