A Different Approach

All past discussions regarding merging Canada and the United States have tapered off for the most part. However, I still think that both Canada and the United States, as well as the whole world, would be better off with a single North American super nation. I understand that the socialist/communist politicians in both Canada and America would hate this idea but giving the Canadian citizens the liberties of the American Constitution might resonate with those citizens.

After much deliberation, I would like to suggest a different approach than previously considered. I feel that there are significant variations in the nature of the Canadian citizens across the country as there are in the United States, and thus, bringing Canada into the United States as a single state would be a serious mistake.

A different and better approach, in my mind, would be to bring each of the 10 provinces in as a single state and reorganize the three territories into a single state. This would add 22 Senators and about 50 House members to the United States Congress.

The only way this would work is if a super majority of Canadian citizens decide that their lives would be better under the United States constitution than continuing under the current Canadian system of government. To make an educated assessment of those choices, Canadian citizens must take an hour or two to read the United States Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution with all its amendments.

I don’t want to suggest to Canadians that America has a perfect system of government because we do have our own problems. However, I still believe that in spite of our problems, the United States of America is the best option for personal liberties and freedom on the planet. Believe it or not, the fact that an illegal population, nearly equal to the total population of Canada, has tied to sneak into America validates my opinion. The fact that America has had to build a wall to stop illegal entry into the country further supports my position.

It breaks my heart to watch what is going on politically in Canada and the toll it is taking on the Canadian population. If most Canadians find this situation acceptable, then my idea sucks, and I should mind my own business. On the other hand, if my idea has merit, Canadian patriots will have to stand up to make it happen. Last November American patriots threw out our socialist government, and since then support for American socialists is dwindling more and more each day.

My brothers and sisters in Canada, I wish you well in your upcoming “travails.” I pray you can throw the rascals out and claw back your God given liberties.
