Seriously, was it the bodies piling up in the coronavirus’ deadly wake? Was it the terrifying videos of bulldozers scraping heaps of COVID-19 victims into freshly dug mass graves by the thousands? Or, was it a national fear of those terrifying scenes that sparked political action? And was that national fear, irrational?
If it were fear of an unimaginable body count that forced our leaders to lock us down, what information did they use to come to that conclusion? Were they being informed through the media like the rest of us because the media were hyping COVID-19 models that predicted 500,000 deaths in the UK and 2.2 million in the U.S.?
Why Politicians Won’t Raise The Question Themselves
Which brings us to the root point, the fork in the road where big impact decisions are about to be made, the root cause of which was the evidence used to justify the harsh political choices that were implemented. How influential were the terrifying COVID-19 model death totals to the political decision-making process because we now know that actual COVID-19 deaths will only be a fraction of the original model projections?
Imagine if you could step back in time to the moment the COVID-19 debate began raging in public. If the models then reflected more realistic outcomes, projecting a bad flu like total of 220,000 U.S. deaths rather than 2.2 million, would the same political decisions still be made? Currently, the possibly inflated worldometer count stands at just under 156,000. [worldometers] Would being 10 times less scared at the crucial decision time make draconian government action less acceptable, or totally unacceptable, to you?
This is important because if you wouldn’t accept lockdown measures then, why would you now? Wouldn’t it follow that every current lockdown/shutdown/distance measure be ended immediately, as if they never happened? It also suggests that all future COVID-19 plans be placed on hold, at least until an apolitical post-mortem can be organized to investigate why the wildly off base original predictions were given such unmerited respect in the first place.
Deciding to reject government action based on actuals rather than guesses renders moot the feverish talk of masks, tests, tracing, vaccines, social distancing, COVID apps, and other preventative measures because, based on this new understanding of reality, drastic political action has been deemed unnecessary.
Think about it. If politicians relied on insanely bad information to justify lock downs then every dollar, minute, and resource spent fighting the spread of the disease was a complete misuse of taxpayer funds. Every decision that followed was, in effect, wastefully wrong. They blew it, big time.
Why The Media Can’t Have The Question Raised
Worse, it also means the psychologically abusive consequences of their draconian political responses, including an increase in violence, bankruptcies, business closures, job losses, anxiety, suicides, and neighbours turning on one another could have all been avoided. Oops.
But wait, there’s more! If you reject the delusional COVID-19 model numbers, it also means that every dollar the government has “given” the recently unemployed to ease the pain of COVID policies was borrowed on taxpayer’s behalf. They simultaneously took people’s jobs away, cancelled beloved cultural events, forced many to spend their savings, killed businesses, and deepened everyone’s debt load! There is no doubt about it, they saved us!
And, for the COVID cherry on the fake cake, sick people languished and suffered in our famous medical queues as services to cancer and other seriously ill patients took a back seat to needless COVID-19 requirements. Can you feel the love of doing the right thing?
So, the likelihood of bamboozled political leaders admitting their actions were predicated on a trustful by-the-barrel consumption of the media’s COVID-19 kool-aid is slim to none. In fact, to suggest it will elicit howls of righteous outrage, which is why they need to be asked what decision they could make if they could return to the root point.
However, the politicians can’t go there! What could they say now after the grave damage is already done? Say, sorry for stripping you of rights and freedoms and for destroying your finances, business, and lives. We were only doing the best we could with what we knew at the time! OMG! Look! Squirrels!

Accountability Requires We Ask The Question
No, politicians will not be eager to return to the root point any time soon, and I don’t blame them. Still, it would be nice to see just one with the courage to make the journey.
To return to the root point shows that the use of the original COVID-19 murder machine model projections was, indeed, Fake News. Not a little bit Fake either, but Fake by a factor of at least 10. Are they going to admit they created a COVID-19 Fake News narrative to prompt politicians into granting themselves near dictatorial power to do what the media was asking them to? Their inaccurate and overhyped narrative sparked the political shift toward tyranny, making them largely responsible for all the harm that has come out of it. Fake News being the root cause and all.
Notice now the stories are about mandatory masks and the rapid spread of the disease at a time when heat and humidity are quickly destroying the virus, news of Hydroxychloroquine’s efficacy keeps surfacing, and the mortality rate is plummeting. Anything to avoid that critical root point and face the fact the projected mass deaths just aren’t there.
The root point question is an existential threat not only to the Fake News narrative, but to the Fake News providers as well, particularly the Tech Giants. It’s one reason why censorship efforts are ramping up.
We know that the media-political complex is not going to rat themselves out. They have control of the message and the response. They know we’ll accept lockdowns, shutdowns, and more when faced with a scary enough story narrative. They have it all. They own us at the moment, and we are completely at the mercy of their Fake News narratives.
We’re going to have to force elected officials to answer if we’re to break free of Fake News’ corrupt grip. Let’s return our leaders to the root point, replace the Fake News numbers with actuals, and ask if they’d make the same lockdown decisions as before. We need to make them sweat more than the media does.
