RINOS and CINOS clapping like trained seals

A Sardine for Ms. Noonan

An array of RINOS and CINOS (or CRINOS for short) are suddenly all agog about Barack Obama’s chimerical shift to the “center”. Obama tosses out a few entirely mendacious lines about America being a good country; or helping small businesses, and those who should know better are clapping like trained seals.

Obama’s imaginary centrism

Former Reagan speechwriter and WSJ columnist, Peggy Noonan is not the only RINO giddy about Obama’s imaginary centrism; immediately after Obama’s Afghanistan speech in which we were told he was finally getting around to sending extra troops, though they would only be there for a few days, to the delight of the Taliban; the RHINO chorus beseeched us all to rally round the president for his bold and decisive war time action. In the same parallel universe in which Noonan now resides, Obama’s recent noises about how he really wants to help small businesses drove the RINOS berserk with glee:
“The economic speech took place Tuesday at the Brookings Institute, the generally left-leaning think tank in Washington. The president put unusual emphasis on—and showed unusual sympathy for—Americans in business, specifically small businesses. ‘Over the past 15 years, small businesses have created roughly 65% of all new jobs in America,’ he said. ‘These are companies formed around kitchen tables in family meetings, formed when an entrepreneur takes a chance on a dream, formed when a worker decides it's time she became her own boss.’ This is how Republicans, moderates and centrists think, and talk. “ “The president claimed success in reducing taxes—‘This fall, I signed into law more than $30 billion in tax cuts for struggling businesses"—and announced a new cut: ‘We're proposing a complete elimination of capital gains taxes on small business investment along with an extension of write-offs to encourage small businesses to expand in the coming year.’ He called it ‘worthwhile’ to create a new ‘tax incentive to encourage small businesses to add and keep employees’." “All this was striking, and seemed an implicit concession that tax levels affect economic activity. It was as if he were waving his arms and saying,’Hey taxpayer, I'm not your enemy!’ The only reason a president would find it necessary to deliver such a message is if he just found out taxpayers do think he's the enemy. The emphasis on what it takes to start and build a business, seemed if nothing else, a bowing t o reality. And if you're going to bow to something, it might as well be reality.”
Yes, Peggy. That’s it. In less than a year, Obama saw the light and is now abandoning his rabid anti-capitalist ways for the good of the nation.

In the real world, small business owners are the true enemy of the Obama State

In the real world, small business owners are the true enemy of the Obama State. Liberals despise entrepreneurs; they canonize confiscatory tax laws and ruinous regulations in hopes of destroying prosperity. It won’t really work over the long haul because entrepreneurism is in the collective American gene pool. But no foreign enemy frightens Barack Obama and his ilk more than the independent small business owner. Entrepreneurs are creative, self sufficient risk takers . Thus, entrepreneurial types are more than a little strong willed and not accepting of totalitarian governments. The real genius of Obama was the way in which he managed to drop the bar so low and so quickly. He has lowered our expectations to the point that we are now expected to kudize whenever Obama doesn’t bash America; which goes nicely with the jobs “created or saved” model. A nod to America’s greatness is heralded by RINOS as a surge of new found patriotism and proves Obama has grown into the job. Anyone who believes that is entitled to a sardine.
