According to most polls the American political left and right are, for once, agreed that the U.S shouldn't be "the world's policeman."
They are right of course, the job is too big for any one nation to shoulder. However, so much of the world is so dangerous that it sorely needs policing. The U.S. should invite its democratic allies, including Canada, to join it in a global task force to impose some semblance of law and order in failed and rogue states and to force evil dictators to stop slaughtering their own citizens and terrorizing their women and children. Any democratic country that refuses to go along with this humane mission should be punished by trade sanctions.
