Ever growing # in Obama’s armor

A Vote for Freedom

There was an election yesterday but you wouldn’t have known it by watching the news broadcasts. The reason for this is because this election revealed the ever growing # in Obama’s armor and the drag his administration is adding to the Democrat bandwagon. In three of the major races yesterday the Democrats lost two incumbents and changed a term limited house member for one that will probably only last one term.

When asked about the significance of these elections the Democrats, especially those in the White House, try to put it off as “nothing much”, “it’s only an off-year election” and other phrases in an attempt to deny that a trend may be showing. Well, I am overjoyed to suggest that a trend is indeed showing and that the Tea Party has had a massive part to play in its development. In New York’s 23rd district, for example, the Republican Party, including Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich put their weight behind a candidate who was more of a lefty than the Democrat. Conservative candidate Bill Hoffman only lost because the Republican, Diedre Scozzafava withdrew at the last minute to support the Democrat, Bill Owens. Gingrich went onto the morning talk shows having to admit his and the party’s mistake. He however, seems to be the only member of the party leadership willing to do so. This link, will take you to an AP story detailing the drubbing Obama’s legacy received in both New Jersey and Virginia. In Virginia it was a clean sweep as the same independents who rejected the GOP last election now rejected the President’s gang members. A member of the GOP who was a past Republican legislator for Virginia was on one of the talk shows this morning. He described the Tea Partiers as “unsophisticated” and “naive”, meaning that they would not understand the deep political reasons for why things have to be the way they are. I disagree. Having spent time in politics and seeing the backroom dealings that have put things into the way they are, I find his reasoning to be self serving and stupidly elitist. The people in the Tea Party cover the broad spectrum of political philosophies and in many cases they will never agree on the details, but they all have one thing in common, they are not interested in sophistication in their representatives, they are interested in honesty and neither the GOP rhinos nor the Democrat socialists will ever understand that.
