According to Texas Democrat, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, the Constitution is 400 years old

If you have a subscription to "Incoherent Congressional Crackpots Monthly," you know the name Sheila Jackson Lee. She's the Texas Democrat Representative who, back in 2003, argued that Hurricanes needed more racially sensitive names because their "lily-white" names were racist.
She also thinks South Vietnam still exists, saying in 2010 "Today, we have two Vietnams, side by side, North and South, exchanging and working. We may not agree with all that North Vietnam is doing, but they are living in peace.” Uh-huh. Now, thanks to comments made yesterday, we can add "Constitutional scholar" to the long list of her many achievements. Sheila Jackson Lee has studied our founding document and knows virtually all there is to know about its 400-year history.

No, that's not a typo. A sitting Congresswoman knows so little about U.S. history that she thinks our Constitution is 400 years old.
"Frankly, maybe I should offer a good thanks to the distinguished members of the majority, the Republicans, my chairman, and others for giving us an opportunity to have a deliberative constitutional discussion that reinforces the sanctity of this nation. And how well it is that we have lasted some 400 years operating under a Constitution that clearly defines what is constitutional and what is not. The Enforcement Act is not constitutional, but it gives us an opportunity to raise these issues. That’s what freedom is, that’s what the opportunity of democracy is all about."

Thank you, Democrats. Thank you for keeping this woman in her position since 1995. If she weren't still in Congress, we might be prone to forget the level of idiocy that left-wing voters will tolerate. Just for fun, here she is in 2010. Watch how eloquently she describes the peaceful relationship North Vietnam enjoys with South Vietnam, despite the fact that South Vietnam ceased to exist after the fall of Saigon in 1975.
