Accusation of racist test leads to suspension of Mobile teacher

A Burns Middle School teacher has been placed on administrative leave following allegations that students were given a "math test" packed with racial and cultural stereotypes. Rena Havner Philips, communications director for the Mobile County Public School System, confirmed a report that the mother of an 8th grade student came to the school on Tuesday to report the test allegedly given to her son on Friday. A report on Fox 10 News identified the mother as Erica Hall, who said her son took a cell phone photo of the test he said was handed out during a Language Arts class. Read more...
