Governors have the authority and unequivocal responsibility to defend their citizens from a foreign force that, in some states, outnumber their population. Citizens must demand they act accordingly

ALL states must invoke power to repel invasion

The Biden administration has become the enemy of the People as it ushers illegals (approximately six million since taking office) into the country, hands out free cell phones, feeds, clothes, transports and houses them anywhere they desire to go within the United States.

Secretary Mayorkas is escorting illegal border-crossers to new digs in every state, busing and flying them to ports of entry all across the country. In so doing, along with myriads traveling independently by car or rail, every state has phalanx after phalanx of unvetted, unprocessed, economic aggressors fortifying unassimilated communities covering the map. Reticent Border Patrol agents are coerced by DHS to hand out thousands of free entrance passes – I-862 forms brandishing court appearance dates as much as 10 years in the future.

Only one governor whose state straddles the Mexican border has finally requested other states to bolster the woefully inadequate number of law enforcement officers and National Guard available for deployment. In answer, Florida, Idaho and Mississippi are sending reinforcements but even those numbers will be hard-pressed to hold the line in Texas.

Governors of states that have witnessed increased proliferation of human, drug and arms trafficking, child labor and sexual slavery

As these few states have stepped up to assist Governor Abbott, most have yet to take positive action regarding the influx of illegals into the nation’s interior, overwhelming their own stomping grounds.

While assistance is being sent to shore-up Texas, steady columns of trespassers heading north, west and east must be addressed by neighboring states. Why? Because accompanying the migrants are rising crime rates, drug overdoses and homelessness that are overburdening humanitarian services. To deal with the problem, interior states have the same power at their disposal to declare an invasion and to take appropriate action.

Yes, that’s correct – states not situated on the international border are equally able to constitutionally invoke the authority to defend their individual borders. Illegals flying directly to interior cities or crossing state lines by other means are subject to capture, incarceration and deportation as posing a threat to the citizens of that state.

Governors of states that have witnessed increased proliferation of human, drug and arms trafficking, child labor and sexual slavery haven’t bothered to take matters into their own hands, being content to complain about the lack of leadership from the nation’s capital.

American citizens have been buffaloed to believe that the defense of the United States belongs solely with the federal government. The Constitution was crafted to deal with the contingency that the executive branch might renege on its duty to protect the nation from invaders, that it might actually invite them in.

When drafting the documents that established this republic, the Founders weighed historical accounts of how other nations and empires survived emergencies. They were well-read regarding the manner in which kingdoms and nation-states collapsed, that demise was often facilitated by government insiders, whether by indolence, moral degradation and/or blatant treason.

Federal government has abdicated its obligation to protect states and citizens against invasion

For this reason, each state is first established as a republic with its own constitution before being admitted to the Union. Article IV, Section IV: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,...”

Because the federal government has abdicated its obligation to protect states and citizens against invasion, and has effectively sided with the enemy, governors are duty-bound to take that role upon themselves. From an authoritative legal “Primer:”

Article I, Section 10, Clause 31 of the U.S. Constitution outlines state ‘war powers’ to repel invasions, it is important for the Governor to document that he or she is invoking those specific powers prior to ordering state law enforcement and National Guard personnel to engage in repelling the invasion. This will ensure that relevant authorities understand what legal authority is underpinning their actions.

...Transnational criminal cartels have weaponized the sheer number of people to overwhelm U.S. border agents, often directing migrant flow in one area to force CBP to shift resources so that drugs, violent criminals, and human trafficking victims can be smuggled across the border elsewhere.

Texas took far too long before officially declaring an invasion and the duplicitous governors of California, Arizona and New Mexico refuse to do what’s necessary to protect their states.

Governors who honor their oath of office must step in to counter the “domestic Violence” being perpetrated by the Biden administration’s purposeful complicity with invaders (Art. IV, Sec. IV).

Governors have the authority and unequivocal responsibility to defend their citizens from a foreign force that, in some states, outnumber their population. Citizens must demand they act accordingly.

1. Article I, Section 10, Clause 3: “No State shall, ...engage in War, unless actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay.”
