All Together Now

This fabulous documentary is in theatres now. It combines the power and beauty of the Beatles' music with the artistry and spectacle of the Cirque du Soleil. It all began at a Formula One automobile race.. George Harrison and Cirque founder Guy Laliberte met at some of these Grand Prix events and began discussing the idea of bringing together the Cirque du Soleil with the Beatles’ music. The result is a stunning show that has been a smashing success in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, Harrison passed away before the work on the show could begin, but the surviving Beatles, and the widows of George Harrison and John Lennon, were all determined to pursue the idea. This film tells the story of this collaboration and the live show that resulted. We see how the ideas were formulated; we watch the stress of adapting the music without harming its integrity; and we see the tension that enveloped the preparations. The result is one of the most fascinating documentaries in some time and one that everyone should see.

Body of Lies

Roger Ferris is a covert CIA operative working in the Middle East. He is sent to Jordan to track down Islamic terrorists and concocts a plot to lure the terrorists into the open. Although the film lives up to all of its hype, it not a film that will stay with you for any length of time, so enjoy the rollercoaster ride while you are in the theatre. Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Mark Strong, Alon Aboutboul. DVD’s
