An Orange Man Visited A Black Journalists' Convention

I watched former president Donald Trump's appearance at the 2024 National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention with great interest.

'Former President Donald Trump fiery discussion at NABJ Forum in Chicago’:

I laughed often at Trump being Trump. Even where we differ, I get a kick out of his one liners.

I also gave him credit on X for the following:

'He at least did what knock kneed, country club, middle class and trailer park con-servatives are too terrified to do: stand before a group of Black people outside of their ideology and have painfully honest discussion on major issues of the day, as he should have as a candidate.'

Furthermore, his warning as a White conservative to a Black audience about illegal migrants taking our jobs echos red flags furiously waving by Black nationalists and dissenting members of our liberal colonized mainstream.

Journalists whose feathers were ruffled will dip their quills into virtual ink wells in the near-future to write about intractable Black unemployment as part of new exclusion in a majority migrant America.

His verbal digs at one of the panelists and her network didn't win Trump any converts but did earn a chuckle while watching him do what he'd done to numerous White journalists.

I'm not a Trumper but am a proponent of brutally honest conversations between diametrically opposed factions.

Republicans and Black folks of all philosophies and ideologies need to engage in real talk.

Not nice talk but real talk.

Real talk was on display when an orange man visited a Black journalists' convention.

Refreshing and all too rare from Republicans in my opinion.
