“…and by what we have left undone”

It has taken generations of leaving things undone, and it will take generations to clean up the sewer we have allowed our society to become

Like the Catholic Church, my church requires members to make confession on a regular basis. Unlike the Catholic Church, where a detailed confession is one on one with a priest, my church gave up on that approach quite some time ago. Instead, at my church our members do a general confession together early in every regular Sunday service. This prevents members from worshiping in an unrepentant state of mind.

How was it we, as Christians, failed to pick up on human trafficking of women and children?

One line from our confession states: “We have sinned against You (meaning God) in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone.” The last element of that sentence is very relevant to the condition America and Canada are in today.

The religious communities in North America that are committed to Judeo-Christian standards of civilization and an orderly society have left a tremendous number of things “undone” over the last half-century. For example, our once great public education system (once number one on the planet) has degenerated, first into a system of indoctrination, and now further degenerated into a system where perverse sexual standards reign and where pornography is being provided even to elementary school students. Judeo-Christians were surely asleep at the wheel on that one.

What else have we left undone? Do I really need to write a paragraph about allowing the lawlessness we now have? How about our sick entertainment community from Disney to Hollywood? Or, how about 100,000 fentanyl deaths every year, two times more deaths each year than dead soldiers in 14 years of the Vietnam war?

How was it we, as Christians, failed to pick up on human trafficking of women and children?

Why have we allowed the invasion of America by criminals from around the world?

Why have we allowed the invasion of America by criminals from around the world? Most of all, why have we allowed so many of our fellow Christians to drift away from regular church services? Yes, the Judeo-Christian religious family has left much undone.

We in North America have some big challenges ahead of us if we are to reestablish a society based on God’s Ten Commandments and all other Judeo-Christian values. It isn’t too late, but we do have a major mountain to climb. Good can still prevail over the evil that has infected our culture and our governments. However, to do that we must standup and make it clear that “we are mad as hell and won’t take it anymore.” We must declare all-out war on the forces of evil wherever we find it, and there is no shortage of evil to be found.

This is a war against the status quo. The starting place, at this point in history, is the ballot box. After that, the war against evil will be a war against corruption everywhere it exists. This war will not be won in a year, or four years, or even 16 years. It has taken generations of leaving things undone, and it will take generations to clean up the sewer we have allowed our society to become.
