The purpose of this offering is to stimulate an assessment by each reader of the condition of the United States of America and the Free World. I usually strive to present my own thoughts in different ways so as to connect with as many people as possible, but I know that each of us learn in a different way, so a one size fits all approach isn’t particularly effective, which justifies my varied presentations of the same material over time. Today, I have compiled words of men far wiser than I am for your consideration with one exception. I hope you will consider each thought and make your own judgment about how it applies to the world you are living in, whether the U.S. or elsewhere.

I recommended rereading the United States Declaration of Independence. In doing so, replace the 27 issues our Founders Fathers had with King George with modern day issues you see as problems with your current government. It will likely give you a whole new perspective on your government’s relationship with you as the governed. Follow that up with Americans rereading the United States Constitution and then judge how the current U.S. government is doing in relation to the authority granted by the Constitution. The same goes for citizens elsewhere and the founding documents for your government. Put your own contemporary spin on what your government is doing compared to what your government is supposed to be doing.

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
