Arctic Sea Ice Not Disappearing

Time for the sea ice and global warming modelers to discard their equations and to start all over again from scratch

Announcements that the Arctic sea ice would soon disappear have been among the most favorite claims made by publicity seeking climatologists and leading American politicians. According to them, there isn't supposed to be any Arctic sea ice today. (1) So, what has happened? The Arctic sea ice has not disappeared. It is not doomed in the real world. Clearly over the past years Arctic sea ice has refused to have anything to do with the often claimed 'death spiral' and alarmists are always forced to go back a number of years in order to get the sharp downward spiral trend they want to see. Lately, however, it has not been downward at all. Looking back at the past 10 years, there has been practically no downward trend whatsoever.
After hitting its earliest minimum extent since 1997, Arctic sea ice has been expanding at a phenomenal rate. Already it is greater than at the same date in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015. Put another way, it is the fourth highest extent in the last ten years. Even more remarkalby, ice growth since the start of September is actually the greatest on record, since daily figures started to be kept in 1987, reports Paul Homewood. (2) Clearly the Arctic sea ice is nowhere near a death spiral, and the polar ice has in fact defied the models and many earlier predictions that is would disappear by 2015 altogether. John William Dini, know to all as ‘Jack’, passed away at the age of 89 on June 17, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on Nov. 14, 1936.

He published two books, a technical book on materials science and coatings and another on environmental issues. In retirement, he wrote extensively on various environmental issues for online publications.

He was a skilled leaded glass hobbyist, creating more than 20 lamps and many panels. He was a jogger for many years, competing in over 300 long distance races. He was a slow runner, not wanting to take the glory away from others. His secret was to start slow and taper. He and Anne traveled extensively, visiting over 70 countries.

He is survived by his wife, Anne, of 67 years, and sons Mike, Steve, and Paul. If you were to meet him somewhere, he would sum up his life as ‘peaches and cream’.
