Arizona Senator Jeff Flake's poll numbers crater as his primary challenger gathers steam

Jeff Flake and John McCain. They go together like peas and carrots. At least, that's what his Republican primary challenger Kelli Ward hopes you believe. Flake's name regularly appears along with McCain's on the long list of squishy Republicans and Ward has been hammering him for his less-than-conservative street cred.
Ouch. On top of that, Flake has been the target of repeated attacks from President Trump, who recently tweeted:
“Great to see that Dr. Kelli Ward is running against Flake Jeff Flake, who is WEAK on borders, crime and a non-factor in Senate. He’s toxic!”
Flake's approval rating has been languishing at a dismal 18% for a while now, but many have wondered if Trump's rhetoric and Ward's constant attacks would take a further toll. Wonder no more. According to a newly released JMC Analytics poll, Jeff Flake has taken an absolute pounding and he's now in serious trouble. His numbers have cratered while Ward continues to gather steam. Take a look at these results:

The poll, as you would expect in a primary, is of Republicans and has a margin of error +/- 4.4% If there's any bright spot for the borderline-nonexistent group of Flake supporters, it's that there's an unusually large number of "undecideds" here. 29% is awfully high. Given his disastrous support and favorability numbers, it seems unlikely that Flake would be able to get enough of them to break his way - particularly in the face of such a constant pounding. Still, it's not impossible, so that might be his last glimmer of hope. Perhaps even more interesting is what this says about President Trump. Remember, the media narrative is that there's a wave of buyer’s remorse sweeping the nation. Supposedly, Republicans think they made a huge mistake in electing our current President. If these numbers are accurate, that seems not to be the case...
