Army of the damned

The NY Times headline said that “Nazi Symbols on Ukraine's Front Lines Highlight Thorny Issues of History.” This acknowledgement comes after independent rapporteurs and geopolitical commentators have been pointing out that yes, indeed, there were Nazi sympathizers still loose in the Ukraine and on their front lines. Ukraine's military and paramilitary groups, especially those operating in the east like the deadly Azov Brigade, have a serious and obvious Nazi problem. But the US media, in thrall to Biden and Democrats where they essentially act as cheerleaders for the current administration, are forever glossing it over.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) contended in Orwellian fashion that the Biden administration should take sufficient “military measures that would strengthen a diplomatic approach and give it greater credibility.” She wrote that “the United States must speed up the pace of assistance and provide anti-aircraft, anti-tank and anti-ship systems, along with leading electronic warfare capabilities.” She claimed that these actions “will help ensure a free and stable Europe,” though it’s easy to imagine how such steps could instead lead to a war-ravaged or a nuclear destroyed Europe, aglow with Cherenkov radiation, or in the very least a tension-plagued association of states.

Senator Maggie Hassan (D-NH) said, while banging her own smaller tom-tom of war, "The United States and our allies must bring to bear crippling consequences on Vladimir Putin and the Russian economy as a whole, as we also provide support to the Ukrainian people and our NATO allies. Americans must stand united, and our NATO alliance must stand strong against Putin's aggression.” And old Joe Biden, without congress approval, has said we'll, you know, you and me, underwrite the Ukraine's retirement system, such as it is, in order to throw more money down that promise-lined drain in Kyiv.

Sen. Maggie Hassan and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen have been part of numerous Congressional calls with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss how the U.S. can better aid Ukraine as Russia continues its so-called "intervention."

A United Nations resolution was offered to its member states, its purpose being to condemn Nazism or the ‘glorification of Nazism’. Only two countries voted AGAINST the resolution--the US and Ukraine.

An official of the U.S.-led NATO alliance told Newsweek that the coalition did not notice what appeared to be symbols associated with Nazism, swastikas and even the troublesome SS runes, on the uniforms of Ukrainian soldiers featured in those since-deleted close up photos on NATO's official twitter account.

However, disputing the existence of Nazis and fascists in Ukraine serves the purpose of constructing a twisted, repetitive but ever so naive and simplistic narrative loosely based on WWII: where Putin is an evil, Hitler-like figure intent on attacking and destroying the freedom-loving Ukrainian government and its innocent supporters and those fighting the Hitlerite-Russians--a new twist on the old insistence on calling the Nazis "Hitlerites" following the invasion of Russia by Germany in June of 1941, as enunciated by Joseph Stalin and trumpeted by the slavish Izvestiya and Pravda.

What is the end game?

The goal of this repetitive long playing 33 and third LP album of pure US media kitsch is to build blind and unquestioning support for the Zelensky government, NATO and the imperialist Western powers, where, like the Germans testing their latest offensive weapons in Spain where they aided Francisco Franco and his toppling of the existing government, the West is testing their current weapons against an ever weaker Vladimir Putin to topple him from power and then install... who? Another dime a dozen oligarch or a saint bedecked with all the pre-approved and sacred ikons the NY Times approves of without a Christian bent.

This heavily captioned “humanitarian” war, instead of the brutal NATO intervention that would likely spark WWIII, is thereby presented as an ongoing ratcheting up, much as Defense Secretary Robert McNamara's strategy of graduated response was designed to deter Hanoi. In this context, any attempt to provide a sober and concrete analysis of the actual history of Nazism in the region runs the risk of being disingenuously labeled and dismissed as “pro-Putin” because it does not support the ceaseless pro-Biden blatant war-mongering narrative of our fableist Camp Runamok media--that Zelensky's proffered tin cup and his graft centered minions are squeaky clean and never a Nazi crossed their paths of glory.

What is the end game?

Will the US and NATO finally get down to a permanent peace with something resembling like the Versailles Treaty, designed to keep Germany supine in chronic poverty after the final whistle of WWI?

Will the Biden cabal, backed by such obsequious defense system savvy solons as Maggie "the Magster" Hassan and "Bomb 'em back to the Stoneage" Jeanne Shaheen, who distrust simple and quick Republican led victories because they resulted in few killed and wounded. They'll continue using borrowed Chinese money to prolong the war, piling up the casualties, while allowing the Zelensky-ites to use advanced US weapons on hapless Russian civilians, clerics and children? All while Russia increases the number of dragooned peasants in Putin's current Russian army of the damned who'll be led to slaughter in a hail of bee-hive howitzer rounds, bomb laden MQ-4C Triton drones and a shower of MRLS rockets while Ukrainian skies are protected by Patriot missile systems and swept clean of any opposition, military or political, by an umbrella of US fighter aircraft loaded for bear.
