Oranjestad, Aruba – As Americans tuck away their white clothes and replace them with dark fall colors, the Aruba Tourism Authority keeps white in season year-round with the Sept. 2 launch of “Little White Dress Night” on the One happy island. Starting Labor Day 2013, and every Monday this fall, Aruba’s hottest bars, restaurants and nightclubs will offer exclusive specials and offers to all visitors donning white.
“Monday nights in Aruba are getting a makeover this fall, and we encourage ladies and men to pack their white clothes and join the party,” said Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) CEO Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes. “‘Little White Dress Night’ is intended to be a more vibrant, Caribbean-inspired take on the ever-popular ‘Little Black Dress Nights,’ and we hope visitors of all ages will get into the spirit and take advantage of the great deals offered by our fantastic island partners.” “Little White Dress Night” is the newest component of Arubapalooza – the island’s fall extravaganza encompassing countless cultural, culinary, music and fashion-oriented events and festivals. According to Curt Harms, Jr., of Local Store – a rooftop bar overlooking downtown Oranjestad to one side and the Caribbean Sea to the other – the introduction of “Little White Dress Night” on Mondays has great potential to improve visitors’ experiences through enhanced nightlife offerings.

“Aruba has many options for those looking for a good time out on the island,” Harms said. “Having an extra evening for fun is a dynamic opportunity for business owners and tourists looking for a local adventure.” Visitors may opt to start the night at Palm Beach Plaza in the High Rise hotel area for a weekly “Little White Dress Night” kick-off party at 8 p.m., boasting live music and a 45-minute Carnival Show (with dancers in all white, of course), in addition to various dining and shopping options within the mall.
