Attorney General Jeff Sessions will testify before Senate intel committee Tuesday

derstandably crestfallen after they heard the James Comey testimony. Not only did the former FBI director deliver little or nothing that could aid the left's anti-Trump witch hunt, he corroborated most of what President Trump has said for months and he may have admitted to committing a crime by leaking his infamous memos to the press. In short, their much-hyped knockout blow turned out to be a swing and a miss. Well, Dems, buck up. You're about to get another bite at the apple. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has announced that he'll appear tomorrow before the House Intel Committee, where he'll testify about the claims James Comey made during his disastrous appearance.

So, Dems will get one-on-ones with both the deputy and Sessions himself. That should be plenty of time to shoot themselves in the foot again. Sessions is expected to face questions regarding his decision to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. You'll recall that he left the probe when it was revealed that he had two meetings with the Russian ambassador, Sergey Kislyak, which he failed to disclose during his Senate confirmation hearing. Sessions claims the meetings were unrelated to his work as a Trump advisor, and occurred only as part of his normal duties as a Senator. You can bet he'll be asked about those two meetings (and a possible third) plus the details surrounding the FBI Director's firing. In addition, James Comey implied that there were other, nebulous, reasons that Sessions walked away from the Russia investigation. He offered no specifics, so Sessions will probably be grilled about that as well. We've yet to hear whether the hearing will be an open session, but several outlets are reporting that - despite the wishes of grandstanding Democrats - it will occur behind closed doors.
