She just wants 'common sense' confiscation, taxation, and bans

Australian-syle gun control advocate releases new gun-control campaign ad

As you know, Hillary Clinton is NOT in favor of sweeping, confiscatory, gun control. Like Barack Obama, she's not "talking about" taking your guns. She just thinks it's "worth considering" Australia's gun control, which was a system of sweeping, confiscatory, gun control where the government took your guns.

Statist's control-freak goals

In reality, Hillary has long advocated a system where only the wealthy would be able to obtain firearms. She likes bans and, since the early nineties, has been arguing for a plan involving a massive tax on the purchase of firearms and ammo. This would, she apparently hopes, reduce the number of firearms purchased by the poor, since only rich people would be able to afford them. Criminals would, of course, be able to get them tax-free, so her plan would have little or no impact on crime, but she could tell her constituents that she'd done ...something. Now she's running for President and, without further ado, here's Hillary's first gun control campaign ad. You'll note that it's incredibly tame compared to her rhetoric over the last 25 years. We all know she's not really interested in implementing background checks which, for the most part, already exist. But I guess you have to start somewhere. Behold, the totalitarian soft sell: Yes, each day people are killed by guns. They're also killed by a wide range of other items, and in greater numbers, but that's not politically expedient so we're not going to bother with that. Instead, we're going to offer a plan that will neuter people who want to defend themselves and make progressives feel like they've done ....something. Sure, it's something meaningless, but if it furthers the statist's control-freak goals, so it's something worth doing.
