The White House chief strategist lays it out for conservatives

Bannon: Keeping fighting because it will get worse before it gets better

Just because Donald Trump is in the White House armed with a Republican-controlled Congress doesn't mean the Left will wave the white flag and let him implement his agenda, two senior administration officials told the recent Conservative Political Action Conference. Chief White House strategist Stephen K. Bannon and White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus joined CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp on the CPAC main stage Thursday to discuss President Trump's agenda for America. Bannon predicted that as conditions steadily improve under Trump's leadership, as they already have begun to do, the Left will not go quietly into this good night. (A transcript of the conversation is available here.)
Priebus described how things would get better under President Trump and how it became clear to him that Trump was the candidate to support during primary season. He said
... the country was hungry for something far bigger than one story or one-off issue. It was something that people wanted in this country, that was real, something that was going to change the direction that we were heading. And it was President Trump that was the answer.
Bannon stepped in to issue a warning:
The reason Reince and I are good partners is that we can disagree. It's not only not going to get better, it's going to get worse every day. And here's why...They're corporatist, globalist media that are adamantly opposed...to an economic nationalist agenda like Donald Trump has...Here's why it's going to get worse: Because he's going to continue to press his agenda. And as economic conditions get better, as more jobs get better, they're going to continue to fight. If you think they are going to give you your country back without a fight, you are sadly mistaken. [emphasis added] Every day, every day it's gonna be a fight. And that is what I am proudest about Donald Trump. All the opportunities he had to waver off this; all the people who have come to him and said, 'oh, you've got to moderate.' Every day in the Oval Office he tells Reince and I: 'I committed this to the American people, I promised this when I ran, and I'm gonna deliver on this.'

The Left has always sought the collapse of the capitalist, free-market West

The Left has always sought the collapse of the capitalist, free-market West, and its leader, the United States of America. This has always been plain in their writings and now, in the chants of former President Obama's paid protesters nationwide. The election of Donald Trump threatens them as no other election ever has. This is not merely because Trump has so effectively articulated a reversal of their agenda, but because voters have expressed their agreement by giving him both houses of Congress, GOP majorities in state legislatures, and governorships. The Left is at its weakest since the 1920s. Clearly, the voters have rejected the "progressive" agenda. This was not what they anticipated. The Left had been working toward this election for 100 years. They got successive wrecking crews under Woodrow Wilson, who gave us the Fed, the income tax, the League of Nations and World War I; Franklin Roosevelt, who gave us the welfare state and a Soviet Eastern Europe; Harry Truman, who gave us the U.N. and failure in Korea; Lyndon Johnson, who delivered victory to the Communists in Vietnam and exploded the welfare state; Jimmy Carter, who gave Iran to the mullahs and Afghanistan to the Soviets; and Bill Clinton, who gave state secrets to the Soviets and countless bennies to the Communist Chinese--including high tech military technology. Their lord and savior, Barack Hussein Obama, gave us chaos in the Middle East--betraying our friends while allying with our enemies; domestic unrest; $20 trillion debt and economic malaise; and Democrat lawmakers who pushed our nation ever leftward, while entrenching an endemic culture of corruption at all levels of government. All this was facilitated by a complicit, cheerleading press--the Fake News.

Hillary Clinton was to be the coup de grace

Hillary Clinton was to be the coup de grace. Her policies--merely an extension of Obama's calamities--would have ensured an end to America as we know it and ushered in the far-left socialism that is at the heart of today's Democratic Party. We barely survived eight years of Obama--and may yet still be doomed--but Hillary's election would have guaranteed it. Yet as has happened at other times throughout history, the indomitable and unpredictable American spirit rose to the occasion by producing a wholly unexpected foil to their designs. We elected Donald Trump despite seemingly insurmountable odds. Democrats can carp about Hillary's popular vote count, but that is only because of California and New York--two majority Democrat states highly dependent on government subsidy. Thank God for the Electoral College, which prevents those dysfunctional states from drowning out the rest of America. Bannon concluded:
We're at the top of the first inning of this. And it's going to take just as much fight, just as much focus and just as much determination. And the one thing I'd like to leave you guys today with is that, I want you to have our back. But more importantly...hold us accountable to what we promised, hold us accountable to delivering on what we promised.
So Bannon's message was a sobering warning to America. A short time later, noted researcher and commentator Trevor Loudon took to the stage to issue a similar warning: You know this is our last chance to turn it around, folks. We have to take it...Right now it is a dangerous time. So I'm asking anybody who cares about America, get on Facebook, get on Twitter, stand up, fight the Muslim Brotherhood, fight the radicals, stand up for American values, and just give 'em hell folks! This is something activists clearly recognize. While the establishment organizations declared themselves the winners after the election and went home (though they had little to do with the victory), we know this is where the real fight begins. For the sake of our future, for our children's future, let's make sure we win it.
