Inflammatory hate mongering

B’nai Brith Canada demands Facebook remove incitement to violence messaging

In light of the recent escalation of violence in the Middle East, including the brutal slaughter of the Fogel family in Itamar and the terrorist bus bombing in Jerusalem, B’nai Brith Canada has demanded that the social network conglomerate Facebook move immediately to deal with complaints from B’Nai Brith and others to remove pages on its site that contain blatant expressions of hatred and calls for violence against the Jewish State and its residents.

"Facebook’s own conditions of use specify users cannot post content that “is hateful, threatening…[and] incites violence” and yet the offensive pages have still not been taken down”, said Frank Dimant, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada. “Facebook should note that just as the number of visitors to this hateful posting continues to increase, its own corporate responsibility for the possible repercussions of this type of incendiary messaging grows apace. “It is simply dangerous to allow this type of inflammatory hate-mongering. Good corporate citizenship does not include giving a platform for the purveyors of conflict and violence. One would hate to think that the company is being swayed by the threat that has been issued that all Muslims will boycott Facebook if their posting is removed."
