Police in multiple Bay Area cities received reports of bomb threats Thursday morning in what appears to be a nationwide scare, authorities said.

The threats were delivered by email to numerous locations and demanded Bitcoin payments or else bombs would detonate in those locations, according to the Northern California Regional Intelligence Center, which alerted local law enforcement agencies across the state.—More….
