BREAKING: Obama to undermine signature legislation with 'fix' to let you keep your plan

Yesterday, we learned that around 104,000 people have signed up for ObamaCare. That's a combined total that includes the federal exchange, the state exchanges, and an unknown number of people who didn't actually buy anything, but are being counted anyway. The data has Dems in panic mode, since it means they missed their target by a little better than 80%.
It looks especially bad when you consider that almost 5 million have lost their coverage since the law went into effect. Now, in an effort to save at least a little of his party's political bacon, Obama is reportedly about to offer a "fix" of some sort. According to NBC's Jessica Taylor, Nancy Pelosi has admitted that the President is about to dosomethingthat will let people keep their plans.

No one knows whether this "fix" will be legislative in nature, or simply another unconstitutional edict from the boy-king. One thing we do know is that, if he starts trying to grandfather-in various groups of people, the President will be undermining his own law. Chuck Todd appeared on the Today Show this morning. There, he argued that the entire premise of ObamaCare is that young people, and people with cheaper plans, aresupposedto pay more in order to subsidize the sick and elderly. "Healthy people are going to pay more," Todd says. "That was always the intention. That was the only way you could make the law work if you wanted to bring down the cost for sick people." So, if Obama starts letting those younger, healthier, folks off the hook, he will only hasten the implosion of his namesake fiasco. Chuck Todd suggests that those losing their plans and being forced to pay more represent "a small number of losers." He might want to take a moment and realize that the "small number" has now swelled to five million - and could go as high as 52 million as the law progresses. Nobody (outside of the NBC News room) would argue that this is some paltry, miniscule, figure. Here are Todd's comments.
