As usual, I have a bit of a different take on the toppling of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro by US forces and opposition to this operation.
My community has been in the sights of Latin American narco terrorism since the 1980s when its signature invasion, crack cocaine, destroyed civic infrastructure that sustained us for generations.
It's against this brutal backdrop that I'm indifferent in this instance to claims that President Trump is a White supremacist bent on taking Venezuela's oil.
Regardless of whether Trump is or isn't a racist, it's clear he toppled a Brown supremacist whose own grassroots are in the streets globally celebrating his boot no longer being on their necks.
It's also clear that Latin American countries controlled by cartels have been allowed to undermine communities like mine, and wealthier ones unlike mine, for far too long.
