Of Senator Reid, Jim Murren, CEO of MGM Mirage,
said, “That man called every CEO of every bank that I know and said look, this is important to my state. Get it done.
If Senator Reid could help MGM Mirage, he can also help our men and women in uniform.
The citizens of Nevada are calling upon Senator Harry Reid, the United States Senate Majority Leader, and his son Commissioner Rory Reid, the Chairman of the Clark County Commission, to call the CEO of the
USO in Arlington, VA, and tell them to "Get it done!"
The Reids are the perfect team to impress the USO with how important it is for Clark County to have a dignified facility for our military personnel while they bivouac at our state's largest international airport.
This pathetic image of United States Marines sleeping on the McCarran Airport floor last Saturday should not be allowed to continue, especially in a city known for its hospitality, and especially at an airport that hosts visitors from around the world. Just imagine how this scene looks to those foreign visitors, many of whom are from the Middle East.
Senator Reid is the second most powerful politician in the nation. His son Commissioner Reid is the most powerful politician in Clark County and his Commission governs McCarran International Airport.
With the combined effort of these two men, a
three year stalemate can end; a stalemate that has prevented the nation's fifth busiest airport from showing proper respect for our nation's armed forces.
For three years, the buck has been passed, and nothing has been done for our men and women in uniform while they're in Las Vegas waiting on stand-by for available seats on flights to military bases, or theatres of war.
Nevada is fortunate to have a powerful ally in our nation's capitol; an ally with a son who chairs the most powerful governmental body in our state.
Please call Senator Reid at: 202-224-3542, and Commissioner Reid at: 702-455-3500 and leave a message about how you feel.
Our nation's armed forces deserve so much better.
Thank you.

There's a USO in Palm Springs, California. What's wrong with having one in Las Vegas?

If tiny Palm Springs can have a USO, Isn't Las Vegas big enough to have its own USO?
Call the Reids and ask them to "Get it done!"
