I was watching the last period in the standoff between Russia and Canada -as I missed the first two periods- and I realized a shocking thing: the Canadian guys didn't have any laces in their skates.
I tried getting a hold of any of the national organizations to let them know, but they were too busy watching the game unfold; I even tried to get a hold of your sports department, but you guys seemingly don't work evenings, unless there is tsunami in Phuket Thailand.
So someone better look into this because I think while the team wasn't looking, someone snuck in and took out the laces while they were listening to their coach and watching closely how his hockey diagrams would work for the 3rd period.
Man, no wonder they were so wobbly.
I was almost apoplectic; freaking out; running all over the house trying to get someone -in the know- on the phone before the 3rd period advanced too far.
Well it was too late and if no one looks into this it will be the only game in the history of hockey where the other team tried to play without laces in their skates for a whole period, because I am sure it's been done before (for half a period or so, before the guys realized a prank had been played on them).
Anyways, just to let you know, I've settled down in the past few hours, but I do know I am going to have nightmares now, seeing how:
You Can't Play Hockey Unless You Do Your Skates Up!
Er...Goodbye and Cheerio...
