However, if we censor ourselves in fear of our government, we are simply doing the job the government wants done, thus saving them the effort.
"Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice." ~ John Adams
Whether you like it or not, whether you believe it or not, the United States federal government is riddled with corruption from top to bottom. The vast majority of federal elected officials and the executive branch civil servants are irredeemably corrupt from taking bribes or simply violating the Constitution to keep their jobs. That is just how pervasive the corruption is in the federal government. No matter what the reason, it is all corruption and must be ended.
To end it means first talking about it in the most direct way possible. Tap dancing around any point using polite language has not gotten the job done in the last 50 years, and it will not work any better today. Serious man-to-man, straight talk must happen if change is to be accomplished in the least damaging manner possible.
