CNN confirms: Hillary's Nevada firewall has been obliterated

Yesterday, we discussed a Washington Free Beacon poll showing that Hillary Clinton's much-vaunted "western firewall" had completely crumbled. As I mentioned, Democrats were doing everything they could to pretend the results of the survey were somehow skewed because the poll was funded by a right-wing website. As always, they decided to attack the messenger rather than deal with the fact that their party's still-inevitable candidate was failing. Perhaps no one was more vocal than MSNBC crackpot Rachel Maddow, who went on one of her arrogant, holier-than-thou, rants against the Free Beacon.

Maddow came off as mind-bogglingly self-righteous, presenting her lofty intellect as "Khan like" in its superiority. She's just so "above it all." She's also - as usual - embarrassingly wrong. Today, CNN released a poll of their own and we learned that, indeed, the Free Beacon's findings were completely accurate. Hillary's "firewall" has imploded like a free diver in the Marianas Trench.

Likely Democratic caucusgoers in Nevada are split almost evenly between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders ahead of Saturday's caucuses, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll. ...Overall, 48% of likely caucus attendees say they support Clinton, 47% Sanders.

As I said yesterday, Hillary still has a grip on the superdelegates. But, the more Bernie "knocks on the door," the more her "inevitable" ascension will damage her party. At some point the Dems will have to make the same decision facing the GOP: Do they go with the will of the base and nominate a candidate the elites can't control, igrnore the base completely, or endure the wrath that will come with a brokered convention?
