The Cranky Old Montana Curmudgeon: The choice that I see is dung heap or traditional America, a nation of laws. I know what my choice is

Cockroaches and Rats

We often use metaphors when we are trying to draw attention or put a different face on an issue we consider important. There are a couple of metaphors that no longer ring true or have value in our discussions. I’ve often used rats and cockroaches to identify the evil that goes on in our culture and government. I have decided that cockroaches and rats are no longer good metaphoric tools, and here’s why.

Historically, you wake up at night and turn on the lights, cockroaches and rats scurry off to hide wherever they came from. Then in the morning you would call an exterminator to come and take care of your rat and/or cockroach problem. The cockroaches and rats knew, at some level, there were consequences for being discovered, and thus they scurried to their hiding places away from the lights. Now, if you failed to call in an exterminator whenever you discovered cockroaches and rats, the cockroaches and rats, after a period of time, would be conditioned to know that when the lights were shined on them, there were no consequences to fear, so they no longer scurried for cover. At some point, the rats and cockroaches learn to relish the light.

The evil corruptocrat cockroaches and rats in government don’t care how many lights are shone upon them

In 2023, the United States government officials who are cockroaches and rats, both elected and career corruptocrats, have learned that there are no consequences for being exposed with the lights shining on their misdeeds. The greatest minds in America are constantly shining a spotlight on the many criminal misdeeds being done by the lawless cockroaches in government, but the exterminator never shows up. These government rats and cockroaches have been conditioned to the fact that nothing is going to happen to them because they own the exterminators.

Who or what were the exterminators? The original exterminator for evil rat and cockroach behavior was the United States of America’s Constitution. Back in the days when America was a nation of laws, the Constitution provided the tools for federal law enforcement to figuratively exterminate wrong doers in government. Back in the day, more often than not, the political parties would punish elected officials when they broke the rules of our civilized society. Those were the days when “shame” was a valuable part of our culture. In 2023, shame as a behavior modification tool has disappeared from politics and our culture.

Also in 2023, too many federal law enforcement agency officials have declined to honor their oath of office to “protect and defend the Constitution against enemies, foreign and domestic,” particularly domestic enemies. These agencies lost their ability to serve as law keeping exterminators and instead are now “following orders” as evil agents of the cockroaches and rats in the federal government.

The reality in 2023 is that, like the aforementioned real rats and cockroaches, the evil corruptocrat cockroaches and rats in government don’t care how many lights are shined upon them.

So, what are we going to do about it? What can we do about it?

Because, heretofore, there have been no consequences they think they can give the nation the single digit salute, figuratively saying to American voters; “We don’t care who votes for whom because we control who counts the votes, so your votes don’t matter. We also control the money we confiscated from you taxpayers, and we will keep buying your states off as long as we can. So, what are you going to do about it?”

So, what are we going to do about it? What can we  do about it? I can’t answer the first question, but I can offer one possible path as an answer to the second question.

There are only 525 counties in America that have the population to control the outcome of any national election. These counties are the same counties that house and support the most corrupt, chaotic, and lawless cities in the United States. These are the metropolitan areas where police have been defunded, shoplifting is condoned, prosecutions are minimal, murder rates are highest, and civilized government has collapsed. Basically these 525 counties are the dung heaps of America.

We have at least two choices. The first choice is to silently allow the virus of these dung heaps to keep spreading to our cities, counties, and states. We will then need to live with the consequences of our neglect. The second option is to, by peaceful means, sever our relationship with those 525 evil dung heap counties.

If the 525 dung heap counties wish to ignore the United States Constitution and be happy with chaos and lawlessness, fine; let them live with the consequences. The rest of us can sever our relationship by no longer being enablers of their evil, foul, and corrupt system by no longer funding them. We the People, who respect the Constitution can have law and order in our own counties and provide a safe and orderly environment in which to live and raise our children and grandchildren.

The choice that I see is dung heap or traditional America, a nation of laws. I know what my choice is.

Steve Rossiter——

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.

In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
