Comrade Mamdani Brings Socialism To Toilets

Comrade Mamdani has found a way to even bring socialism to the 17 new toilets being installed around the rotten apple. At a cost of around $235 thousand each, $4 million total, to allow New Yorkers to relieve themselves.

However, there is a catch. As Throne Labs Chief Operating Officer Jessica Heinzelman explained. The bathrooms have a cut-off time for use, preventing New Yorkers from overstaying their welcome. The pods warn with flashing lights if the user hasn’t exited in about four minutes.

“The door eventually will open, letting that user know well in advance, and that’s actually saved lives in other locations where someone is having a medical emergency, contrary to your traditional public restroom.”

The total time limit is 10 minutes. Once the 10 minutes are up, the speaker announces, “Attention: Your usage time has expired. The door is opening now,” in both English and Spanish, before the automated door slides open, revealing the user to the public.

If someone still refuses to leave the toilet, Throne Labs workers will receive an alert to check the situation in person. Officials stated that employees may call the police if someone remains in the can.

So, if you're constipated, have IBS, or some other type of bowel issue or problem, embarrassment may be in your future. In addition, epileptics may have an issue with the flashing lights in a confined space.

At his press conference on Wednesday, Mamdani tried to relate to people by talking about $9 lattes.

“We have listened intently as a worker in Chipotle whispers the bathroom code to another paying customer. We have bought that nine-dollar latte, and all of us have, at some point or another, just turned around and had to go home.”

Comrade Mamdani, or should we call him “Comode” Mamdani, likes to act like he’s a savior for bringing 17 toilets into the city at a cost of $ 4 million. That said, the city has only 1,100 public bathrooms for 8.6 million people. He could have chosen a much cheaper option instead of these costly cans.

The toilets will be located at:

Bronx: Yankee Stadium, Admiral Farragut Playground, Mapes Park and Monsignor Raul Del Valle Square

Brooklyn: Columbus Park, Milestone Park, Fulton Street and Truxton Street, and Avenue C Plaza

Queens: Astoria Boulevard South and 31st Street, Northern Boulevard and 31st Street, Northern Boulevard and 54th Street and 34th Avenue and 64th Street

Manhattan: Cooper Square, Malcolm X Plaza, Delancey Street and Suffolk Street, and Plaza Alianza Dominicana

Staten Island: North Shore Esplanade

It’s really amazing how “Comode” Mamdani can take a simple concept like adding portable public toilets in the city and turn it into a $4 million boondoggle.

In 2025, the NYPD issued over 10,000 summonses for public urination, according to the Coalition for the Homeless. Advocates from the group welcomed the installation of new public toilets but said requiring a tap card or mobile phone to access the restrooms could exclude the most vulnerable New Yorkers.

The Free to Pee Coalition, led by VOCAL-NY and the Coalition for the Homeless, said in a statement:

“We are concerned that it raises several access issues for homeless New Yorkers. Many may not have a smartphone or be able to easily obtain a physical tap card to open these restrooms. Modular bathrooms alone will not change the current imbalance in bathroom access.”

It's obvious this mayor wasn’t thinking about the people who would really benefit from adding more public toilets. Mamdani has upset many people with his antisemitism and socialist/communist ways, and now, by showing off with these super expensive johns, he can add the “Free To Pee Coalition” to that list.

I guess you could say he pissed them off.
