Paul Bint preyed on unsuspecting victims he met through lonely hearts adverts or on the internet by pretending he was the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Keir Starmer QC.

He was found guilty at Southwark Crown Court of the latest of more than 500 scams going back to his childhood, including many where he has "wormed" his way into the "hearts and homes" of women. Past convictions include cases where he had posed as other barristers, including QCs involved in the cases of Madeleine McCann, the Lockerbie bombing and the original murder trial of Jill Dando.
