The overwhelming number of newspapers and TV stations in the United States are mouthpieces for the Democratic Party; they promote Leftist/Statist ideology with what President Trump has rightly called Fake News.
No matter how often conservatives document media and liberal hypocrisy, rarely does this impress anybody but themselves. It’s an echo chamber. Absent a transforming life event, liberals – indoctrinated into the collectivist worldview by our educational system – don’t become conservatives.

Nevertheless, President Trump speaks directly to the American People on Twitter and without it, his efforts to Make America Great Again would be greatly diminished. Twitter could fairly moderate political content, but routinely “shadow-bans” conservatives and promotes liberal tropes with fewer “trending” numbers. Twitter prohibits political advertising, but allows pornography. So, according to Twitter, pornography is protected speech, but political advertising is not. Go awry of Dorsey’s speech codes, and you’ll end up in “Twitmo,” or even expelled altogether. Whether conservatives in Congress can regulate Twitter remains to be seen, but nothing has happened yet.

Rush Limbaugh changed the course of American history. For the last 30 years, “America’s Anchorman” has influenced millions with his indispensable commentary on his top-rated conservative talk radio show. However, Rush has cancer, and while everybody is praying for his full recovery, America without Rush is a scary proposition. Author Mark Levin and many others have succeeded in talk radio, too. As for news sources, there is Breitbart, Newsmax, Townhall, and even our own Canada Free Press. Unfortunately, the once reliable Fox News has faltered since founder Rupert Murdoch handed the reins to his son, Lachlan. The Left’s Hollywood and Media empires exclude conservative voices except to cast them as villains. At one time, there was an idea of media impartiality, but it does not exist any more, so why acknowledge them? President Trump stopped the COVID-19 press conferences apparently for this reason.
Liberalism is a religion and asking someone to change religion based on intellectual persuasion is near impossible. The Liberal canon includes open borders, abortion on demand, climate change, health care for all, public education and housing, gender fluidity, globalism instead of nationalism, America is racist, and government control and regulation of everything. Anybody who questions these beliefs commits heresy and deserves burning at the stake.
In New York City, they used to say that a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged. Today’s authoritarians are the Democratic governors who have suspended civil liberties during COVID-19. Lori Lightfoot, the Democrat mayor of Chicago, said police in her city are going to arrest people and put them in jail for not social distancing. The first New Yorkers were arrested and cited last weekend too, while felons have been released from jails, crime rises, and homelessness is out-of-control on the subways. Arrest homeless people, not citizens, Mayor De Blasio!

Instead of railing against liberal bias and hypocrisy, conservatives would be wise to emulate Democrats and not let a “crisis go to waste.” The Trump Justice Department could put an end to voter fraud in Blue States by overseeing all elections there; the U.S. Department of Education could require all school districts in the United States to develop school choice programs or have federal funds withheld.
Which brings us to Democratic Party presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden, who clearly has a cognitive impairment and a proclivity to touch young women and girls inappropriately, regardless of whether he did anything wrong with Tara Reade in 1993, as she alleges.
By now everyone is familiar how the Left in September 2018 tried to destroy Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh with the most tangential of sexual assault claims from 38 years ago at a high school party without corroboration. “The Media” celebrated Christine Blasey Ford for her “courage.” Tara Reade, on the other hand, has been uniformly ignored, save for the New York Times dismissing her claims and its incredible editorial that the Democratic National Committee ought to investigate!
Tara Reade challenges the Left’s narrative: the Democrats are the good guys for women, even the philandering ones, such as John Kennedy, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein. As the humor website the Babylon Bee wrote, predicting a future story: “Judge dismisses sexual assault allegations against Biden on grounds that he is not a Republican.”
The #MeToo movement said, “Women like Dr. Ford, need to be believed.” But Democrat U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says “Joe Biden is Joe Biden,” meaning she is OK with the senile, wandering hands, hair-sniffing Obama vice president.
At the founding of this country, newspapers were party organs, some supporting Thomas Jefferson’s faction and the others backing Alexander Hamilton and the Federalists. That’s what we have today – the Washington Post, the New York Times, the New York Daily News, CNN, MSNBC, NBC News, CBS News, ABC News all backing the Democrats without any embarrassment, while insisting they are neutral observers.
Every story about COVID-19 is reported in the United States to make the situation appear worse than it really is. On the other hand, there have been no stories on whether Americans’ First Amendment rights to assemble peaceably have been violated. Ironically, Fake News, full of lies and hypocrisy, continues to publish freely, also guaranteed by the First Amendment.
