Politicization of Coronavirus by the media, members of congress and all the know-it- alls that we see on television and radio

COVID-19: What the media and the enemies of the President have done is dangerous to the point of criminal

OK, I am not going to downplay how serious the coronavirus “pandemic” might be. One should always take seriously a disease that is insidious, and is, at times, asymptomatic, and is clearly deadly in its current and mutating forms. One should always take prudent actions to protect oneself and one’s family. Those actions are always the right thing to do Still, perspective is important.
I heard Steve Deace give a brilliant eleven minute commentary on the virus the other day in his dissertation on the issues on his Blaze television show. I don’t always agree with Steve on any number of topics, but on this issue he was spot on. He talked about being prudent in dealing with COVID-19 and in taking care of the family and in going out in public. His total common sense approach was exactly what should be said by the President, the cabinet secretaries and the talking heads on television. But, no, we have to endure the politicization of this disease by the media, members of congress and all the know-it- alls that we see on television and radio. It is sickening almost to the point of absurdity. It is criminal in how these jerk-wads have gone over the cliff. What the media and the enemies of the President have done is dangerous to the point of criminal. Again, I am not downplaying the dangers, but let’s keep things in perspective, for God’s sake. Let’s remember a few things about the number of deaths related to other health issues in the United States. For example:
  • Heart Disease: 635K deaths per year
  • Cancer: 598K deaths per year
  • Accidents: 161K deaths per year
  • Chronic Lung Diseases: 155K deaths per year
  • Stroke: 142K deaths per year
  • Flu: 20K deaths per year
The COVID-19 deaths so far? Just 68. In just four days, 84 veterans will have taken their own lives by suicide. Perspective, folks, perspective. To tell you the truth, I have stopped watching the news. It is just an echo chamber of the talking points of which ever side one finds him– or herself aligned. Frankly, the reporters display gross ignorance and offer far more opinions than facts about what is going on in the world. I feel sorry for the people in Wuhan, which is a city of 20 million people. There, the city suffers from severe air pollution, sanitation would not be up to US standards and a large proportion of the population smokes. The population density if far greater than what it is even in our urban areas. Is it any wonder that there is wide-spread contagious disease spread? Demographics and Geography.
