Cozying Up To Dictators

When you go to bed with dictators you get fleas. Simple minded Joe Kennedy is itching after he praised Hugo Chavez for providing us oil to heat our seniors. After Hurricane Isaac, the highest gas prices in New York are by CITGO--$4.79 per gallon.

Hugo Chavez is gouging. What do you expect from a dictator who hates American capitalism and gleefully tortures dissenters? It’s shameful that Joe Kennedy said, “We are deeply grateful to CITGO and the people of Venezuela for their generosity to those who need help keeping their families warm.” Is Kennedy now thankful for the $4.79 per gallon gas prices? Does Chavez’s generosity come from his gouging? Is Kennedy thankful that Chavez tortures his own people and confiscates their businesses? They used to say that Kennedy’s namesake Grandpa Joe did business with the Nazis. I guess the thrill of dealing with dictators runs in the family. David Lawrence New York, NY
