Sometimes seeing things in three dimensions requires a set of one green lens and one red lens stereoscopic glasses. Other times one need only remove these obstacles to true vision. The editors of the Rolling Stone are now cautiously peeking from behind their red lens. And they are not liking what they see.
This magazine never aspired to be much more than a glossy rock-n-roll version of a super market tabloid. The Stonies were shameless promoters of the half-tone change peddler in the last election. Not that there was any real choice. The voters were scammed in the primary process. Choreographed puppet shows don’t NEED legitimate candidates or issues.
Now with the benefit of eighteen months of miserable lack of leadership, the Stonies are drawing down on their boy Barry. No longer the ‘Golden Boy’, dear Barry is now correctly seen as just another gilded troll from under the Wall Street Bridge. The Stonies had been viewing Barry with just their socialist utopian ‘red’ lens. They now have a clearer image.
Six months in to the Milli Vanilli Presidents term, it was obvious to the Stonies that same puppeteers were in complete control of their new puppet. In a shocking expose for a sinistral screed, the Stonies began to reveal the sinister details of the Obama-pork-Orama legislation, just signed into law.
The RS author, Matt Taibbi then produced a series of articles on the Federal Reserve, Goldman Sachs and the Wall Street gangsters engaged in shameless debauchery with the hookers of the House and the # of the Senate. This month’s “Wall Street’s Big Win” continues the series on $600 million lobbing effort to pass the Dodd-Frank Bill, aka the Bank Fraud Preservation Act.
Then RS author, Tim Dickinson took a serious look at the Obama failure in the BP spill. British Petroleum is an elitist ‘oil boy toy’ with an atrocious record on safety and the environment. They are what AIG is to insurance, a store front sham. Dickinson examines the failures of BP, the Minerals and Management Service agency and hapless response by FEMA and the EPA. The Deepwater Horizon is the Obama Katrina.
Rolling Stone was never anything I could have ever considered reading or buying. A quick shopping line glance at the detailed celebri-# tattoo and body piercing maps was the only useful information they every printed. I purchased the “Vampire Squid of Wall Street” issue and accidentally got a free year’s subscription.
The Thick Green Lens
The Stonies have shown a surprising level of objectivity with regard to the two party puppet show, the ingrained bi-partisan corruption and the active participation by their boy Barry. They’ve peeked from behind their red lens to see their ‘progressive’ friends wallow in the taxpayer’s money. Even Stonies can recognize betrayal, well sometimes.
What the Stonies have yet to realize is that when they peek from behind their thick ‘green’ lens they will see the same scheming, intentional theft and betrayal on an even grander scale. The eighty billion in taxpayer’s funds wasted on the global warming lie could have provided clean drinking water to every human on the planet, if humans were important to Stonies.
Behind the ‘too big to fail climate fraud’ are the same puppeteers, the same political front men the same phony financial instruments. Think of ‘carbon credits’ as green derivatives. As Matt Taibbi correctly points out, the Great Depression, the Savings and Loan Crisis, the Dot Com Bust, the Mortgage Market collapse and the current Banking failure were all the product of the same insiders, or their heirs. A century of theft, by a lineage of thieves.
The Stonies should review the undisputed graphs of the Milankovitch Cycle, showing the Earth’s temperature for the last 400,000 years. They might notice that there have been three ‘Intra-glacial’ periods of equal or hotter temperatures as today. Each lasted 10,000 to 15,000 years. They would also notice three extended ‘Glacial’ periods with substantially colder temperatures lasting 100,000. Surprising news to the greenies, there were no smokestacks, tail pipes or human contributions to any of these previous changes.
Change is the single constant in the Universe. Everything is changing all the time. Only seldom is it for the better. The ‘change’ of the last election has only made what was terrible, even worse. It would be refreshing if the Stonies, finally took off their red-green glasses and saw the three dimensional world as it exists.
In the real world, evil Republicans conspire with evil Democrats, to do the bidding of the evil elite. Carbon taxes and carbon credits have no environmental benefit, only an elitist benefit. The day that the Stonies remove their red-green goggles is the day that an RS subscription would be earned, not given as a free promotion to pump ad-revenues. Standing up to the green meanies would mean that RS would have to grow some stones.
