I predict the Democrats will worry too much about the various Social Justice orthodoxies to pose a serious threat to Donald Trump

Creepy Joe and the Social Justice Worriers

Creepy Joe and the Social Justice WorriersSo, Joe Biden has announced that he’s running for POTUS for the third or fourth time over the past 5 decades and the polls have him leading in the quest for the nomination. Are the Democrats nuts? There’s one faction in the Democrat Party that’s very small and very loud and seemingly wants to return us to those halcyon days of the pre-internal combustion engine age with their silly Green New Deal. They promise to tax the livin’ bejeezuz out of everyone and of course, in return, everyone gets everything for free. Total cost, a quadrillion gazillion or some other meaningless number that doesn’t exist in fiscal reality.
The other faction of the Democrat Party is substantially larger and a whole lot quieter. Except they want to take us back to those wonderful days when America was in decline, unemployment ran rampant, poverty was up, labor participation the lowest in history, etc. You may recall those days as people were legally forced to pay for something they didn’t need, like abortion coverage for women who wanted to have children and had no intention of ever having an abortion. Thing is, I don’t believe what the polls say matters, because (Creepy, Crazy; take your pick) Joe will be confronted by the social justice crowd who worry more about the words being used than their actual meaning. And 47 years of foot-in-mouth Joe’s outrageous statements, gaffes and, um, “inappropriate” body language in close presence to others, particularly females, is plenty to worry about if Social Justice is your thing. What’s more, those who tend to worry about things like Social Justice also tend to not be too receptive to the idea of “old white men” leading the Democrat Party. And Joe Biden is definitely old, white and male to boot. The 2020 Democrat Primaries will likely be the best political theatre since Bill Clinton’s exciting “Cigargate,” as nearly two-dozen ravenous, starving Democrat pit bulls devour each other in bitter verbal combat to gain an edge. In the end the Democrats will do what they always do. They’ll rig the primaries so the preferred candidate of the DNC leadership will get the nomination. The problem is, how far left will the Party Leadership allow itself to be dragged? Will Elizabeth Warren’s Unconstitutional plan for wealth confiscation win out? Will Kamala Harris be able to outlaw health insurance? Will Cory Booker get his wish to legislate veganism? And why are they allowing an Independent, non-Dem, Bernie Sanders to run in their primaries?

Of course, there are also other complications the Democrats don’t seem to be taking into consideration. These include several clouds on the horizon, some of which the Muller Report made darker. Will they risk an impeachment attempt and what effect will that have on the party with voters? There’s also a chance that Howard Schultz will launch a well-funded independent campaign, which can only serve to hurt the Dems, as Schultz seems to be among one of the more reasonable Trump opponents. Joe Biden’s history isn’t exactly in line with where the Democrat Party appears to be heading, meaning that even if the polls show that he could beat Trump (which he couldn’t), Biden will never get the nomination because the next Dem Candidate must belong to a favored identity group, namely non-white, non-Christian or Jew, non-male or at least gay or transitioning, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel and likely most importantly, the candidate must stand for open borders and uncontrolled migration. I predict the Democrats will worry too much about the various Social Justice orthodoxies to pose a serious threat to Donald Trump, who to date has managed to accomplish more in the first two years of his tenure than his two predecessors combined, despite substantial headwinds.
