TORONTO, B’nai Brith Canada is appalled at the news of multiple terror attacks in Southern Israel.
Frank Dimant, CEO of B’nai Brith Canada stated,
“As we await word of the full extent of the deaths and injuries, we extend our sympathy to the Jewish State and the families who have suffered the brunt of these attacks.
“This is one more all too stark reminder about the dangers that Israelis face everyday as the threat of terrorism continues to mount on multiple borders.
Whether or not Egypt was directly responsible, clearly officials there have lost control of the Sinai region to terrorists and criminals.
We wait to hear unqualified condemnation of these attacks from both Egyptian officials and the Palestinian Authority, as well as their plan of action to regain control of the area.
“The road to peace is indeed elusive when those who are meant to be your partners in building a cooperative future can allow such acts to be perpetrated, or encourage, assist or condone them in any fashion whatsoever."
