Reader Comments: From jGC: Deb, I'm so glad that your school bus memory brought a smile to your face. You are old enough to understand what your folks were juggling in order to keep your family above water. It is to your credit and theirs that this is a fond memory. It brought tears to my eyes. And God bless your sister, Jean. (Joyce)

Your ramblings and recipes are a boon to the readers of Canada Free Press, in addition to the viewpoints and news they publish. Thank God for you all.

Oh thank you so much for such absolutely wonderful comments, no, no, actually compliments! You don’t know how much they mean to me! We so hope everyone reading our “ramblings” and stories enjoy them. We sure enjoy sharing them with you all. That was just one of our goals with Dub and I in starting “Miz Judi’s Kitchen!” We thought that hopefully we could reach out to people and put a smile on their face, because as we all know, there’s times today in our country that there’s not a whole lot to smile about. Dub and I both love to laugh and feel that laughter in itself is very beneficial throughout our entire lives! So keep smiling! God Bless you! From Patrick: Love your recipes and ideas....and the spaghetti joke! Btw, some people get accustomed to a large amount of garlic which happens to be healthy for all of us. Thanks! You know, the statement about garlic is very true, but one I'd not considered bringing up, heck, I didn't even think about it... That's a great tip. I like it personally, in moderation in some meals, but I've tasted recipes in the past where the garlic was almost overbearing. But that's where personal tastes come in. Same with our recipes, we want you to use them, but add different things that appeal to you personally. It's what makes the world go round! From KJ: These are some great recipes and even greater advise to share our memories...And the joke was a hit! Smiling from ear to ear!!! I add garlic to everything! Thanks! We're just glad ya'll like the recipes, and the subject matter as well...and the jokes. Believe me, I gotta have a joke or two. Anyway thanks once more, and am looking forward to one of yours (recipes), how bout it? C'mon now.... From Bill (who happens to be KJ’s husband!): Excellent DUB I will be a trashing the kitchen with this one real soon. I love to cook, problem is I hate doing the dishes. When I cook I get every pot, pan, plate and utensil in the place dirty. It is good to have a wife LOL and I’m running like h… now. Hey Bill! I was just replyin to KJ askin her for a recipe, and evidently you're who I need to be talkin to, in regards to a recipe, not KJ!! At least that's what he's been tellin me, KJ if you're still out there. You runnin again yet, Bill? Thought so, I'm just helpin ya out here!
I too, make a mess. Sometimes I clean it up, but 10-4 on the wife thing!! Thanks guys! From KJ again (As you can see I was, “helpin Bill out”… actually getting him in trouble with KJ): I'm still here! And the boy better run fast!!! I can cook and cook fine, but I don't have much time to cook, as I'm always washing up the entire kitchen and every dish and pot in it!!! Sure is nice to come home from teaching school, and have a nice dinner made and handed to me though!!! Yes, I must admit I'm sure it is...Kudos to the man of the house! From Hank: (This is actually a few lines takin from an e-mail to Miz Judi…she okayed their use) Hi, Dearest Judes! I've been meaning to thank you guys for bringing us Deb and Dub.  What a breath of fresh air!  They bring a zest for life not often seen nowadays.  The beautiful and formidable Rhoda always tries to shush me up when I tell the g'children things that we used to do as children… I had what I consider an ideal 'growing up' and reading Deb and Dub's writings reminds me of me.  Whatever that means!  Deb and Dub are a keeper! Hank  Hank, many thanks my friend for your super comments, and believe me, they are very much appreciated! You have no idea the warmth our readers have supplied to us through comments such as yours! Just as we hope to put a smile on our reader’s faces, comments like the ones you just made, surely put a smile on ours! Thank you so much, and God Bess you! Thank you all so much!! See ya next time in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen!”

Dub and Deb——

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
