Good morning to you this morning. We hope you guys are all doing well today! I’m gonna’ talk about a very dear and special friend, who we lost 3 years or so ago. He was our neighbor when we lived on Lake Marion, and his name was Ronnie, but Deb before long dubbed ole’ Ronnie…”Turtle”.

Deb hung this handle on him because Ronnie NEVER got in a hurry! We passed him one time on the highway in his truck. I didn’t think I’d ever get around that guy! It’s bad when you are driving SO SLOW, that even though you have your windows down…you hair ain’t even blowing! From that day forward…he was known by us, as Turtle! Ronnie was one of those guys, who would give you the shirt off his back, but never was at a loss for words…especially if he thought you might be doing something wrong. Let me catch up here, I’m getting ahead of myself… Deb and I moved to Haines City, on Lake Marion in 2000. We bought for a weekend getaway was the plan, but shoot, I moved in after closing, and Deb finally moved from our home in St. Cloud about 6 months later. Dub and Deb——

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
