Democratic Values

A democratic society means a lot more than a free vote, it also means freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, the protection of minorities and the rule of law.

For those who believe, democracy, like religion, needs no explanation, for those who do not believe, no explanation is possible. Therein lies the tragedy of the Muslim world, it believes in none of these democratic values, it only believes in government by military or religious dictatorship. William Bedford
