Democrats 'cleaned our clocks' on the spending bill. ...Says Lindsey Graham

It's a dark day when I'm forced to agree with Lindsey Graham. Unfortunately, the budget "deal" has brought us to that point - at least in part. If even a guy like Lindsey Graham can recognize the plan as a complete train wreck, you know we're in a bad spot... As Graham told CNN:

"I don't know if I'm going to vote for the bill they're going to present to the Senate here soon. I think the Democrats cleaned our clock. There are things in this bill that I just don't understand. This was not winning from the Republican point of view. So, the bottom line is, no, I don't want to shut the government down, but I don't want to continue to fund Obamacare either and that's what we do here."

Pressed on whether that means he's at odds with Paul Ryan's rosy assessment of the capitulation compromise, Graham dodged - but only a little. His disdain is clear.

"You know, there's all kind of ways to look at it. We got more money for the military.... You know, I'm for comprehensive immigration reform but sanctuary cities go untouched, ObamaCare continues to be funded in a way that we all say is illegal. So, the bottom line here is this whole process of funding the government where you put 12 bills into one, and you don't get any input, and you vote on a bill 2 days after you had a chance to look at it is just bad government. So, I think the Republican party's goal for 2018 should be to bring every appropriation bill to the floor stand-alone rather than doing these giant bills. That's the best way to fix the system."

Sounds good to me, but... If Republicans can't be bothered to fight for their supposed agenda in one bill, why should we think they'll do it when the battle is spread across multiple bills?
