Liberal Democrats are sneakily dishonest

Democrats Plan to Resurrect Renamed (un)Fairness Doctrine

Anybody who says that liberal Democrats aren’t sneakily dishonest just aren’t paying attention. And right now, that should cover a little bit more than half of our country’s voting population. These cheats just refuse to stop their madness over gaining absolute and total control of anything and everything that governs our fast-fading Republic.

Going back a few months, not too long after the coronation of Barack Hussein Obama and his acquiescence to step down to become our new ruling messiah , the ugly wheels of greed, corruption and sleaze began rolling, crushing all semblance of truth and fairness that were once hallmarks of America. In the very early days of the Obama Administration one of its first efforts to put a huge impediment on any efforts by the Republican Party to mount a comeback from their political defeat in the 2008 elections, was a resurrection of an old Democrat weapon from the Truman days, the cleverly mis-named Fairness Doctrine that stifled the First Amendment’s guarantee of free speech. (Doesn’t that remind you of the horribly misnamed ‘Employee Free Choice Act’ that steals the secret ballot from workers?) I tell you, these liberals will stoop to anything to get their way. By reinstating this un-American doctrine with a sneaky re-worded title, the effect would be to shut down the very effective radio talk programs that were prominently Republican held by commentators such as Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and a host of others. Attempts by liberal Democrats such as Al Franken and Mario Cuomo had failed miserably to attract any sort of audience as to allow them to remain on commercial air time. In failing to combat the conservative Republicans in a head-to-head competition for air time, the liberal Democrats used their political numbers strength, resorting to the underhanded method of trying to restore the old and failed and generally considered unfair, so-called Fairness Doctrine to force radio stations to replace the conservative Republicans with liberal Democrats. However, as soon as word got around regarding the Democrats’ plans to bring this unfair doctrine back to the political scene again, much of the country struck back at the attempts and an amendment was introduced by Senator Jim DeMint, R-SC to disallow any efforts for such resurrection. It passed the Senate by a vote of 87 to 11. But once again, even in defeat, 47 of the liberal Democrats had duplicitously, in a show of false agreement, crossed over and voted with the 40 Republicans to kill any resurrection of the Fairness Doctrine. But as this was taking place Senator Richard Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, the state made famous for questionable backroom deals, introduced another amendment that would effectively do all that the flawed Fairness Doctrine would have done, but even more. This amendment saw all 57 Democrat Senators voting yes while the 41 Republicans voted the same no as they had with the other Fairness Doctrine killing amendment. Once again they used their strength in voting numbers to enact a very un-American piece of legislation that was aimed at preventing free speech to members of the Republican Party. This new legislation will NOT be called the Fairness Doctrine, as they know now that the public is aware that it is anything but; however this time they will also be able to control communications ownerships: “To encourage and promote diversity in communication media ownership, and to ensure that the public airwaves are used in the public interest.” Meaning bringing pressure on station owners to cooperate by cutting profit making conservative talk show hosts and adding failed and money losing liberal hosts. So the Fairness Doctrine is out and, to use an old Chicago mob term, ‘leaning on the businesses’ to absorb losses, so the liberals will be heard.
